A good primer that I especially appreciate because it works well both with mineral foundation and liquid CC cream. It is a bit sticky on the skin and doesn’t fully absorb, but despite that, I think the makeup sits well on top and the result looks nice. Hickap The Wonder Base Stick – 2C Champagne ✨ I really had high expectations for this, especially since I love many of Hickap’s other products ❣️ The stick has a super creamy and soft texture and is very easy to apply. However, I unfortunately found it surprisingly difficult to blend out and the base settled incredibly cakey on the skin. I have combination, acne-prone skin with a slightly oilier T-zone and unevenness from acne scars, but even with primer, powder, and setting spray I couldn’t get an even result… It also settled easily into lines and highlighted unevenness rather than smoothing the skin 💔 It feels extra disappointing because I was really looking forward to it and like Hickap’s other products so much. Unfortunately, this one did not live up to my expectations at all based on the description. I am impressed with this setting spray! It gives a nice matte finish without the skin feeling dry or tight. The makeup stays in place for a long time, and I find that it helps keep shine away throughout the day, which I really appreciate. In the last photos, you can see how it looks after drying a bit more (4 hours later) I used some warmer bronze shades on my eyes today. These are from Caia, and I used all the shimmer shadows on the top row of the palette, with the lightest in the inner corner and the other two after that with the darkest on the outer edge. In the last photos (which are later), I added a bit of the shimmering brown shadow in the crease to add some more depth. Friday, so we're going for a slightly more festive look with eye makeup! 🪩 I only used Morphe's palette and started with 'Taupe Tier' to mark and define the outer edge of the eyelid. Then I applied 'Hush Money' from the inner corner of the eye out to about halfway across the eyelid to brighten the look since I have hooded eyes. Finally, I used 'Highbrown' to create a sharp and defined eyeliner. All with Hickaps' 'Classic eye set' brushes. They make it so easy to get an eye makeup look because they are so perfectly cut! Not super pigmented on first application, but this one is meant to be built up if you want a defined bronzed look. The fact that it’s not super pigmented means you can create a soft & simple look. The bag itself has a nice color but is somewhat plasticky in execution, though not as bad as the purple one was. The content then, very many products. I like that. Lots of value and no exaggerated price if you compare with some others this year. A couple of mini products, one of which is the kind I like and the other just a nicer sample (good brand). It feels like a very positive start but I won’t rate the product as a whole just yet, because I first want to feel, touch and test a bit. This one contains some eyeshadows that I know have been requested from previous lovables comments. Don’t remember who wrote that, but thanks. I love constructive criticism, especially when it means we now get to test two interesting eyeshadows. Hickap has also been a brand I’ve appreciated several products from before and that I like, so I will test that very soon. Otherwise, I need to think about which products I want/need or if I should be a bit kind because I know I have others who want things from this. I’ve already put the aftersun out in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom where we keep such things. Might be needed soon as it’s going to be very warm this weekend. Hair: #bjornaxen volume shampoo, washed yesterday but it stays fresh longer and is just so good. #hickap mist, to get that lovely peach scent. Face: #lumene powder foundation, powder and stick as base #lenoites mascara and lip liner, the latter a new test for me, which came in a #lovable recently (still available to buy). A bit strong color but I think the pencil is incredibly great. So easy to handle and you can make both thinner and thicker lines without problems. #sweed lipstick and blush where the latter is new from the same #lovable as the lip liner. Fantastic brand and the blush didn’t disappoint me either. Maybe a bit strong color but you can take a little at a time and build up.
