A primer for those who want their skin to look fresh and glowing, without it looking like you’ve applied highlighter all over your face! The texture is light and pleasant, and this is actually one of those primers that feels more like skincare than an extra layer of makeup. It spreads easily over the skin and leaves a subtle glow rather than lots of visible shimmer. I think the skin looks a bit more even, fresher, and simply more “awake” after application. What I like best, however, is how makeup sits on top of it. Foundation gets a more lively and natural finish, without my skin looking very shiny or oily. 🌿 The formula also has several interesting ingredients. A whole 97.5% of the ingredients are of natural origin, of which 7% are organic. It contains, among other things, organic Kendi and argan oil, chosen for their nourishing, soothing, and protective properties. The primer is also vegan. I also like that it doesn’t necessarily have to be used under foundation. On days when I don’t want full makeup, I can easily use it alone to get a little extra glow and a fresher look to the skin. This is not the primer I would choose if the main goal was to mattify the skin or “blur” pores as much as possible. When my skin is well hydrated and behaving, it gives a really nice grippy base and helps my makeup sit well throughout the day. However, it can be a little hit or miss for me depending on how my skin is that morning. On drier or rougher skin days I've noticed that it can sometimes start to flake or pill, which isn't ideal when I'm trying to get a smooth base. I still enjoy using it, but I personally prefer the e.l.f. gripping primer slightly more, because so far I haven't noticed the same flaking issue with the e.l.f. one. Milk is great on a good skin day, but for me it isn't quite as foolproof. Pros: good grip, nice base when skin is hydrated, makeup wears well. Cons: can flake/pill on my drier skin days. Lovely cream with multiple functions!
Impressed by this sunscreen as it has both UVB & UVA. This cream has a light, airy, and moisturizing texture and absorbs quickly into the skin. Extra plus is that it doesn’t leave a white cast, absorbs quickly, and works great under makeup 🫶🏻 Perfect as a day cream with primer effect BUT also good enough as sun protection. Love when products multitask and make my life easier 🙌🏻 I’ve tested this on vacation both in Sweden and Spain and haven’t gotten sunburned once. I can add that I have light, oily, and sensitive skin that burns very easily. It smells fresh (not like typical SPF) and has a super nice price tag. Since you’re supposed to apply 2 finger lengths, I prefer to use a lot of a good but cheaper option. Another extra plus for me is that it’s a travel-friendly amount, i.e. 50 ml, and simple plastic packaging.
