Like the feeling, but
Not a new favorite. What immediately brings it down for me is the packaging. Sorry, but that actually matters a bit, lip products are worn throughout the day and I like the product to look and feel a bit "exclusive." The packaging looks like something you’d get in a toy store, so absolutely not appealing to me. As for the product formulation itself, it’s very, very soft. So soft that the first time I applied it, I took way too much just from a light press against my lips, so be careful. The color is overall just transparent, so it probably doesn’t matter much which color you choose here. It mainly gives shine, I’m a bit unsure about the plumping effect, but it tingles and the feeling is good. Not too much, so it doesn’t sting. If you’ve used BUXOM glosses, the feeling is quite identical. I don’t find that the product dries out my lips or that I need another product for moisture throughout the day, which I often do with such products. All in all, I’m not a fan. To be honest, I wasn’t very positive about this product because none of the colors really appealed to me, and I’m not a big fan of glittery shadows… Still, I tested all the colors in the palette and I think they hold well on the lid – don’t smudge, but aren’t very pigmented and need to be built up if you want intensity. If you’re not good at applying eyeshadow, this is a positive, in my opinion. For the price, I’d say it’s a pretty good palette in terms of wear on the lid. I just personally wish it came in other colors. Unfortunately not a favorite
I liked the color, but unfortunately not the texture. It’s very creamy and soft, almost like having butter on your lips, which can probably be nice – but it also means it smudges easily, moves outside the lip line, and needs to be reapplied regularly. Also, I think it settled unflatteringly in the lines of my lips… Maybe I’ve become picky after all these years with lip products, but this wasn’t for me. There are equally affordable and better alternatives out there. Finally, I received my package from #bylyko as #lykoinflutester, it got a bit stuck on the way 😋 Let's start with the lip balm which has some pros and cons, but unfortunately it’s my least appreciated item in the package.. Appearance-wise, I like the color (love pink 💗), but it looks a bit cheap, very basic lip balm, doesn’t have to be negative, but yeah. 🤷🏼♀️ Here comes my big WTF⁉️ You can absolutely twist the product out (like a lipstick), but you can’t get it back in!? I don’t even know what the reason for that is. 😳 Also, when you apply it, for God’s sake - don’t press hard! Since I couldn’t get the product back in, it was too “far” out of the container, and the whole stick kind of imploded because it was so terribly soft.. 🤦🏼♀️ The balm itself feels pleasant, fragrance-free, very transparent color, with a cooling effect that’s supposed to plump. Honestly, for such a cheap eyeshadow, I didn’t have very high expectations, but I really think it’s a great choice if you’re on a budget! It applies beautifully on the lid, and I love how it goes from creamy to a more powdery finish – it makes it feel luxurious and easy to work with. You can really build it up depending on whether you want a soft everyday look or something more glowing for the evening, which is a big plus. Nice color but tricky packaging
The first thing I noticed is that the packaging feels a bit too "plastic" and cheap. The biggest downside, however, is that you can't screw the product back down once you've opened it. This makes it incredibly difficult to control the amount, so you have to be very careful not to twist up too much at once. The name "Melt Down" definitely fits – the consistency is a kind of mix between solid and liquid that melts as soon as it hits the lips. I think it's a bit too "melting," which means way too much product can come out at once. Regarding the effect: • Plumping: It gives a slight effect, but don't expect any big miracles. • Cooling: It has a cooling sensation that I'm still a bit unsure if I like or not. As an influencer for Lyko, I have now had the chance to test the Eye-Con Eyeshadow Palette in the color Mauve on up 👁️ The palette is small, handy, and cute! All the colors are beautiful, and since I love purple eyeshadow (because I think it suits my green eyes well), I was naturally drawn to those colors in the palette! 🎨 There are two matte shadows and two glittery shadows. A product I immediately thought would be great to have both when traveling and in my bag! But nope, after photographing the product and about to open it to test and look, the two glittery shadows fell straight onto my bathroom mat. Guess how surprised I was 😂😱 I tried to pick up as much product as possible to test, but now it looks like my kids borrowed the palette, you could say.. 🫠 I hope I got a Monday product because otherwise, I’m really disappointed, it shouldn’t be like that! Really unfortunate. 😴 The pigments in the eyeshadow are acceptable but nothing more, quite weak, at least the matte shadows. Nice to look at, but disappointing on the eye 🍯
I had high hopes for this little item, especially considering the beautiful shades, but unfortunately it didn’t quite meet my expectations. At first glance, the colors look absolutely fantastic, but when applied to the skin, you quickly notice that the pigmentation is quite weak. You have to work quite a bit just to get the color to show properly. I often use exactly this type of shades, but these shadows simply didn’t sit nicely on the eyelid. The brown color felt a bit "off" in tone, and I found them difficult to blend out. The whole experience gave me a little nostalgic flashback to when I sneaked to borrow makeup from my mom’s makeup bag 20 years ago. Unfortunately, the quality feels a bit outdated. A very good addition to the lip products
What struck me immediately was how incredibly smooth it is to apply. The "crayon" shape makes it super easy to get straight lines, even when you're on the go. I didn’t even need a proper mirror to get a good result – it just glides right on! The texture is exactly as the name suggests: wonderfully creamy without feeling sticky or tacky on the lips. As an influencer for Lyko, I have had the chance to test the Creamy Dreamy Lip Crayon in the color Berry Jam for a few weeks now! 👄 Here you have a product that gives color, moisture, and a creamy result instantly! I've been trying Kissplosion for a while now, and the best thing about it, I'd say, is that it's insanely easy to apply! This surprised me since the pencil is quite thick. The color is really nice, and it also works well as a blush. Just swipe it on your cheek and blend out with your fingers, it melts in nicely because the formula is so soft. It also works well as a lipstick, like I have in the picture. Nourishing Lip Serum
As an influencer for Lyko, I got to test the Melt Down Lip Balm in the shade Pinky Promise 👄 It is a nourishing and moisturizing lip serum in balm form, enriched with avocado oil, argan oil, and shea butter! It is also supposed to give a plumping effect to the lips. The product is very easy to apply, gives a cooling effect, and a lot of gloss and glow. It’s nice for both everyday use and parties. 💃 My first impression was that it was a simple, light, and easy-to-use product with nice packaging, and I have continued to like the product. It’s neither great nor bad, somewhere in between, a bit like low-fat milk in my opinion. I don’t see any plumping effect at all, but I do feel the cooling effect. I've tried Pink Wink, and I think it gives neither too much nor too little color! Just right for everyday use. However, it is very creamy and soft. I get the feeling it would melt in the bag on a hot day. I think it gives a bit of plump, it definitely feels cooling. Great addition to the makeup bag!
In the picture, I did a makeup look using only Honey Drizzle, and even though it works fine on its own, I missed a slightly lighter brown shade as a base before the shimmer. The brown was very pigmented, while the shimmer wasn’t as pigmented. I also like when palettes have matte light shades that you can use under the eyes, but as a complement to the shadows I already use, this works super well and I like that it takes up a little space in the makeup bag. It’s a warm and nice palette with many uses. The matte brown shade was perfect for filling in the eyebrows, and the lightest shimmer worked well as a highlighter, though maybe best as an emergency solution since there are better options for that purpose. Not quite top-notch
I had very high expectations for this product because wow - look at those beautiful colors 😍 The joy was short-lived, because on first use the entire one color fell out of the palette and into the sink. Fun 🤠 The colors look super nice but are very lightly pigmented. I tried for a long time to make a liner with the darkest one, but as you can see in the picture, it didn’t get very dark. Luckily, I’m not a big fan of heavy eyeshadow, so the others worked perfectly to just get a little shimmer on the eyes. The texture feels like a mix between powder and cream, so that’s probably why the pigment is a bit weak. Probably also why it didn’t break in the sink - but just like a sponge? 🧽 The quality is therefore not much to brag about - but right for a good price! As a Lyko influ-tester, I got to try this lip balm in the color Pink Wink 🩷 I have mixed feelings about this product 🤔 ❌️ The negative is the packaging. What happens now is that you twist up a bit of product and when you apply it to your lips, it just becomes one big blob. It's also way too easy to accidentally twist up too much product and you can't twist it back down. The formula is kind of too runny for how it's packaged? But on the positive side! Really cooling effect, with a bit of plumping too 💋 When you instead use a finger to apply the balm, I think you get nice glossy lips with really lovely pigment ✨️🎨 The price is cheap, and well, the product doesn't feel more expensive than what you pay for, so to say. And it literally melts when applied to the lips. Unfortunately, the application was a bit sticky at times. This product cannot be screwed back, you have to work with how much product you have rolled out. I'm not a fan of this type of packaging. Because the product is very soft, it was difficult to dose without wasting or making the packaging or lips sticky. Luckily, the product looked very nice on the lips and works perfectly as a lip gloss alternative.
