Telescopic mascara
I had quite high expectations for this mascara since it’s so talked about, but honestly, I was a bit disappointed.😶 It definitely gives very nice length, and the lashes are well separated, but I don’t feel like it gives much volume. For me, the lashes became a bit too thin, and it almost looked like I had fewer lashes than usual – kind of a “where did they go?” feeling.😵💫 I tried applying several layers, but then it started to get a bit stiff without really giving the fullness I was after.🫤 But that’s just my experience. Maybelline BODY Waterproof Mascara x Smartson
First of all, how stylish the design is 🤩🩶 A solid tube that fits the name 💪✨. I have somewhat shorter and straight lashes without an eyelash curler. Therefore, I have used an eyelash curler. USAGE: The brush is large and flexible. The bristles are spaced a bit apart. Easy to apply color and build up. Separates well. But a bit too much. My lashes look fewer but thicker. Easy to build volume, lift, and length. But after a few layers, it clumps at the tips of the lashes. DURABILITY: I find that the lashes stay put during the day, maybe lose a bit of shape. Hardly any smudging. However, I do need powder around the eyes for best durability – with more dewy oil-based makeup or makeup-free days, it can smudge a bit. WATERPROOF? 🤔 The mascara behaves a bit like a 38°C-degree/tubing mascara: I can actually remove it with warm water on a pad and dab a few times, it then comes off in small crumbs. Easily removes waterproof eye makeup
I think this product from LYKO removes waterproof mascara well. I always shake it first and put quite a bit on a cotton pad. Then I let it sit on the eye for a while. After that, I kind of “pull” the mascara off. 🩷 It also removes eyebrow products and lip products. This mascara from Benefit gives me mixed feelings: + keeps the lashes curled + gives an intense effect - tends to smudge just under the eyebrows (could it be related to the base)? Found this mascara randomly over 10 years ago and it’s the one I go back to every time. Sure, other brands have come along, but none beat this one. Do you have super straight lashes that don’t hold a curl? No problem with this. Curl your lashes, apply one coat of mascara and let it dry, apply more as you prefer and voilà! Curled lashes all day. It’s really that simple. The result is long, curled lashes that last all day. However, it doesn’t give much volume. Not only that, the mascara sticks like cement and can basically only be removed with an oil-based cleanser, sometimes not even that.
