ma:nyo Pure Cleansing Oil 🧡 review I have been using ma:nyo Pure Cleansing Oil as the first step in my evening routine for a while now, and the first thing I noticed is the texture. It is a fairly lightweight oil that glides easily over the skin without me needing to use much product. I massage it onto dry skin to dissolve the day’s SPF, makeup, and sebum before adding water. It has a very lovely, light citrus scent. But do you know why you should emulsify a cleansing oil? When you add water to the oil, the texture changes and it becomes milky. This is called emulsification and allows the oil to mix with water and then be rinsed off along with what it has dissolved. That’s why I don’t just massage the oil in and rinse off immediately. I add a little water and massage again until it becomes properly milky. Then I rinse off and move on to my water-based cleanser. And ma:nyo is really good at this part, it emulsifies easily and doesn’t leave that heavy, oily feeling that some cleansing oils can. What I like ✨ Light and smooth texture ✨ Effectively dissolves SPF and makeup ✨ Emulsifies easily with water ✨ Rinses off without leaving skin feeling tight ✨ The pump bottle is good and dispenses just the right amount of product ✨ 200 ml makes it feel quite generous 🤍 My reflection What I especially appreciate about ma:nyo is that it makes the first cleanse very easy. I don’t need to rub or use a lot of product to remove the day’s SPF and makeup, and afterwards, the skin feels clean but not dry. It exceeded all expectations! My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Have you tried cleansing oil? #hudvård #kbeauty #cleansingoil #doublecleansing #manyo #ma:nyo #hudvårdsrutin @ma:nyo

Skin Flooding Part 4: The last toner, Beauty of Joseon 🤍 Now we have reached the last step in my skin flooding routine: Beauty of Joseon Glow Replenishing Rice Milk. And if you have this at home, there is one thing you don’t want to forget: Shake the bottle It’s not just to mix the ingredients better, Beauty of Joseon has a so-called dual-layer formula, where one part is a rice-based moisture phase and the other contains a sebum-balancing powder layer. When you shake the bottle, the layers mix and you get the finished product. The powder helps absorb excess sebum and counteracts a greasy shine, so the idea is that the skin becomes glowing without feeling oily. It is also the richest of my three toners, which is why I use it last. Beauty of Joseon contains among other things rice extract and rice amino acids, which contribute hydration and antioxidant properties. It also contains panthenol, ceramide NP, and sodium hyaluronate. The consistency is significantly more milky than the first two toners I use, which makes it feel like a natural last layer. It is also the richest of my three toners, which is why I use it last. 🩷Anua, thinnest and my first layer 🩷Lumene, builds further on hydration and gives a little extra glow 🩷 Beauty of Joseon, richer and my last toner layer One thing I find interesting is that skin flooding doesn’t really have to be about finding three different products and layering them on top of each other. The most important thing is how the products work together. You can use a single toner in multiple layers, two different ones, three, or up to seven layers, there is no magic number. I have chosen three because I think these three complement each other and give me the feeling I want, or really you can count it as 4 layers since after double cleansing I start my skin flooding with a mist before I start with my different toners. My reflection So this is my complete toner part of the skincare routine. I start thin and gradually build up more hydration and a richer feeling. Then I move on to serum and moisturizer to finish the routine. How many toner layers do you use in your routine – one, several, or none at all? #skinflooding #beautyofjoseon #kbeauty #hudvård #toner Beauty of Joseon

Anua I want to try!🌸 My skin thrives with MANY layers of toner, right now I’m a bit obsessed with 6 Peptide Skin Booster & I’m from Rice Toner. Then ceramide cream + barrier cream 🤍

Skin Flooding Part 3: Next layer; Lumene ✨ After Anua comes Lumene Radiance Boosting Toner. To be completely honest, I didn’t choose this toner for any specific "super ingredient." I was rather looking for a toner that could provide additional moisture without adding yet another heavy active step to the routine and that was also affordable. Lumene simply became my middle layer between the light Anua and my richer Beauty of Joseon. Glycerin and Sodium PCA help to bind moisture in the skin. Cloudberry extract is one of Lumene’s signature ingredients and contributes antioxidants. Allantoin has soothing and skin-caring properties. And the product is developed with a focus on radiance and glow. That makes it fit quite well exactly where I use it, a layer that builds on the hydration from Anua and at the same time gives a little extra glow. Something I find interesting about layering is that when you use several products one after another, not every layer needs to be full of active ingredients; on the contrary, sometimes it can be quite nice to let some steps have a simpler job: to add and bind moisture without overloading the skin. That’s kind of how I see Lumene in my routine. My reflection I like the feeling it gives and think it fits well as a middle layer in my skin flooding routine. One small downside for me is the scent, though. I’m not particularly fond of it, but it doesn’t bother me enough for me to stop using the product. And maybe that’s exactly what I like about this type of skincare, that not all products need to be favorites to have a function in the routine. Do you use any toner that is mainly there to build up moisture rather than to give the skin lots of active ingredients? 🧴 #skinflooding #lumene #toner LUMENE

Skin Flooding Part 2: Why do I start with Anua? The first product in my skin flooding routine is Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner. I apply the first layer right after my double cleansing (oil + gel), while the skin is still slightly damp. Then I find that the skin absorbs the hydration better. I choose to start with Anua for three reasons: It has a thin, water-like consistency. When I use multiple moisturizing layers, I apply them from the thinnest to the thickest consistency. This makes the skin feel light and each layer absorbs smoothly. It contains Heartleaf (Houttuynia cordata). Heartleaf is an ingredient appreciated for its soothing properties and therefore fits well as a first step when I want to give the skin a calm and hydrated start. It absorbs quickly. It gives the skin a first layer of hydration without feeling heavy and works as a good base before the rest of my routine. But skin flooding is not just about using several different toners. You can absolutely apply several thin layers of the same toner if it suits your skin. I have chosen to use three different ones because they serve different functions in my routine and I sometimes swap them depending on what the skin needs most right now, but the method works just as well with a single toner in multiple layers. Did you know that Anua became popular even though it is quite simple in its formulation? Many associate an effective toner with many active ingredients, but Anua’s strength is rather that it focuses on hydrating and soothing the skin. That is one of the reasons why I think it works so well as the first layer. I don’t use Anua to do all the work. I use it to create a good foundation so that the rest of my routine can perform as well as possible. Do you use multiple layers of the same toner, or do you combine different ones? #anua #skinflooding #toner

Love this 😍 Yes, I always use several layers of the same toner, and sometimes combine it with another one too 💧

Skin flooding has become a popular term in skincare. But what is it really? In short, skin flooding is about applying several thin layers of moisturizing products (often with one or more toners as a base) on lightly damp skin. The goal is not to use as many products as possible, but to give the skin moisture in several steps and then lock it in. For me, it has become a way to make the skin feel softer, calmer, and more hydrated. A step in the pursuit of the glow and hydrated skin that many associate with glass skin. I do my skin flooding after cleansing and before serum and moisturizer. In my routine, I use three different toners. The toners I am currently using are: Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner, Lumene Radiance Boosting Toner, and Beauty of Joseon Glow Replenishing Rice. I don’t use them because it has to be three toners. Each product serves a slightly different function in my routine, and in upcoming posts, I plan to explain more about why I chose these. Have you tried skin flooding, or are you curious to try it? In the next post, I will go through the first toner and why it has a natural place in my routine #hudvård #skinflooding #glassskin #kbeauty #beautysverige #hudvårdsrutin #skincare Beauty of Joseon LUMENE

    The packaging didn’t suit me

TIRTIR Collagen Lifting Eye Cream I had high expectations for this eye cream, but unfortunately it didn’t become a favorite for me. What I liked: The metal applicator feels cool and pleasant on the skin and makes the application a bit more luxurious. What I struggled with: The packaging! The slim tube tips over very easily on the sink or out of the bathroom cabinet. Mine actually broke after falling over, which feels disappointing. The pump... I feel like the pump dispenses more product than I need for the eye area. This makes the product not feel very economical. The consistency. To me, it feels more like a light serum than a classic eye cream. I prefer slightly richer eye creams, so this is of course a matter of taste. (I have previously used Tatcha The Silk Peony, which has a significantly richer consistency, so that can definitely affect my experience.) My rating: 2.5/5 Might suit you if: you like a light eye product with quick absorption. Didn’t suit me because: I prefer a richer consistency and packaging that feels more practical for everyday use. I really wanted to like this eye cream... but a good formula isn’t always enough. Packaging is also part of the user experience. #ögonkräm #tirtir TIRTIR

    Clinique Lash Power Mascara

I've been using this mascara for a while now, and what I like most is that one coat is enough to give long, separated lashes without them feeling clumpy. Another big advantage is that it's very easy to wash off. With warm water, it comes off in small "tubes," so I don't need to rub my eyes or use makeup remover. However, it is marketed as smudge-free, and my experience is a bit different there. I get some transfer on my brow bone during the day. My lashes are quite long, and if I curl them, they lie a bit against the skin. If you have shorter or straighter lashes, your experience may of course be different. Gives nice, separated lashes with just one coat. Easy to wash off with warm water. Smudges a bit on me despite being marketed as smudge-free and has a fairly small packaging. Would I buy it again? Yes, I actually would. Clinique #mascara

✨ First impression of Redken Hair Cleansing Cream ✨ I've only used it once, so this is not a final review, but I had to share my first impression. My hair is thin, bleached, and easily gets frizzy. After today's wash, it feels incredibly soft and smooth, and this is also completely air-dried without any styling. My natural curls have rarely held together this well. I don't believe a single shampoo can do it all. I've been working on my hair care routine for a year, and Redken feels more like that last puzzle piece that gave my hair a real fresh start. It also smells good and has a lovely texture! I let it sit for about 5 minutes to do its job. I also had pre-wash oil on the ends to protect them. I will continue to use it about once a month and will come back with an update after trying it more times. Is there any product in my hair care routine you want me to review more thoroughly? 🤍
