This was the product in the series I was most curious about. Face Purifying Booster Serum contains BHA, which makes it a more active step compared to a classic moisturizing product 💦 I like that the serum feels like a product with a clear purpose – to complement skincare when you want to focus a bit extra on a cleaner and more balanced skin. It is also one of those products where I appreciate the simplicity: a few drops 💧 and the routine immediately feels more thoughtful. One thing I think is important to mention is that BHA is an active ingredient, so this is not necessarily the product I would recommend overusing, especially if you have sensitive or unaccustomed skin. Over the past month, I’ve had the opportunity as #lykoinflutester to try ACO’s purifying series in the form of their booster serum, day cream, and night cream. My skin is very oily and sensitive at times. I’ve always had problems with acne, but not excessively much recently. That is, until just over a month ago, when my skin totally freaked out and I had lots of pimples, both superficial and deep. So I was happy when I found out I would be testing these products and felt like I’d be a perfect test person ✌️😊 This product is called a booster, but it’s basically just a serum, so nothing unusual. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump that can be locked by twisting the nozzle. I use three pumps of product on my face and have done so both morning and evening over the past month. In the morning, I’ve replaced the serum I usually use with this one, and in the evening, I’ve added it to my routine (I’m also currently using a retinol serum from CeraVe). I apply it after toner and before cream. The serum has a watery consistency and absorbs easily into the skin. It contains no perfume and doesn’t smell like anything special. I don’t think it leaves any kind of film behind. It feels lightly moisturizing and doesn’t sting. It contains ingredients proven to work against acne, so I had fairly high expectations. I definitely don’t think it’s bad, but I also don’t feel like it has directly improved the condition my skin is in. On the other hand, I’m pretty convinced that my pimples come from causes that skincare can’t directly affect, namely hormonal. So in my case, I think I just have to wait it out until it calms down. That said, over the years I’ve tested A LOT of skincare for oily skin and acne, so I think I can still judge what’s good and what’s less good. I would place this product in the upper part of the scale. I think it’s worth trying, even if it didn’t do much for me. A really good serum.
As a Lyko influencer tester, I have had the opportunity to try some products from ACO, and it has been fun to test more products from them. Here is my review of the ACO Purifying Booster Serum – this is a non-comedogenic serum that gently exfoliates with salicylic acid (BHA). The serum does not clog your pores and strengthens the skin barrier, etc. I like this serum and use it in my evening routine. Light and gentle serum
TIRTIR SOS Serum I've been using TIRTIR SOS Serum for a while now, and my first impression is that it is a very light and gentle serum without any noticeable scent. It has a fairly fluid consistency that glides easily over the skin and absorbs quickly. For me, it almost feels a bit too light... I would personally have preferred a slightly richer feel. But after too much exfoliation or when the skin rebels, it's great on its own; otherwise, I like to use it together with another more targeted serum. The formula is primarily focused on hydration and soothing the skin, with ingredients like glycerin, panthenol, allantoin, hyaluronic acid, and polyglutamic acid. It also contains adenosine and several peptides, which means there's a bit more behind the formula than just moisture. I like that it feels so mild on the skin and absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky feeling. But… I miss a bit of the "something's happening" feeling. The skin feels hydrated afterward, but I don't quite get that wow feeling I want from a serum. This one has moved into my morning routine, I use it before makeup 🤍 I really think it’s an affordable serum that provides a lot of moisture, while absorbing quickly and nicely into the skin without feeling sticky. This has truly become a new favorite in my routine! 🤍 I have quite sensitive skin and get red easily, especially after washing my face, and I really feel that this helps to calm the skin and reduce redness. I have sensitive and dry skin, and this works perfectly for me. Very economical, so I use a super small amount and that’s more than enough. I apply it every morning if I’m not going to use SPF products afterward. I notice it can flake a bit... But otherwise, I let it absorb for about 2 minutes and then continue with my makeup. Probably the product I've recommended the most to friends and family! Fantastic serum that gives a nice glow and counteracts aging without irritating the skin with alcohol or fragrances. Really good formula without unnecessary additives! Since I am 22 years old, I can't say much about how well it works against aging, but despite that, it is a favorite and a staple in my skincare routine.
