I'm experiencing that I'm getting good curls but that my hair is a bit heavier with these products than with Umberto Giannini. I kind of feel like washing my hair earlier. You who have tested different product combinations for wavy/curly hair probably know what I mean. I think it will even be a wash tonight. Shiny Conditioner
I use this conditioner with the matching shampoo and I find my hair shinier after use, but I don't feel like it really removes tangles and knots (I do have long and thick hair that easily gets tangled and knotted, so I find it hard to find products that completely remove knots and tangles). Shampoo that adds shine
I have long, thick, and colored hair, and this shampoo (with matching conditioner) adds shine to my hair after use. However, I don't find that it removes tangles and knots, but I think it's hard to find hair care lines that do since I have such thick hair and it easily gets tangled. As others have mentioned, the scent is mild, so it's a plus if you have trouble with strong scents. Good and long-lasting, but not a miracle
Olaplex No. 5 is a really long-lasting conditioner, and you need far less than you would normally use with, for example, L’Oréal. I found that about a quarter of the amount I usually use was plenty – and it works best to add a little extra water to the hair rather than more product. It has a mild, clean scent and a concentrated consistency, but without being heavy or greasy. It leaves the hair soft and easy to comb through, and it didn’t irritate my scalp. Even though it’s nice and long-lasting, I don’t think the results were significantly better than cheaper conditioners I’ve tried. Good, but not a gamechanger
I think Olaplex No. 4 was a nice shampoo. It has a mild citrus scent that is pleasant without being overwhelming. One of the first things I noticed is how incredibly concentrated it is. The amount I would normally use from, for example, L’Oréal, I only needed about a quarter of here. It definitely works better to add more water than more product - I learned that the hard way when I ended up with foam everywhere. Even though the price is high, you use so little at a time that it can make sense if you are in the target group for this type of shampoo. That said, I don’t think it did anything extraordinary for my thick natural hair that a cheaper shampoo couldn’t have done as well. This product pair is going to be a staple! These products worked magic on my hair. I could already feel a big change in texture and hair durability in a short time. The products were repairing but not too heavy for the hair or scalp. Of course, it's good to remember that a little goes a long way and brings the best results. The products smelled lovely and the texture was really pleasant. I enjoyed that my hair wasn't tangled in the morning and I hardly had to detangle it at all. First and foremost, I really like the design of the products. It's classic, simple, and stylish; they simply look delicious on the bathroom shelf. The scent is mild and clean, something I think most people will enjoy 🫧 To give a bit of context, I have thick hair with many fine strands, as well as some coarser and drier hair at the nape and a bit of split ends. The conditioner is also quite rich, even though it naturally doesn't lather like the shampoo does. However, you don't need much product to distribute it evenly in the hair. After use, the hair becomes soft, lovely, and easy to comb through. One thing I find to be a downside, especially with the conditioner, is that the packaging is somewhat impractical. Since the conditioner has a thicker consistency, I have to shake the bottle several times to get the product out. I can imagine this becoming even more challenging when the bottle starts to get close to half full. I like the luxury feel the products give, both in the shower and afterwards. The hair becomes soft and easy to manage. At the same time, I feel that the line is probably developed more for hair that is damaged or weakened by, for example, bleaching and coloring, which my hair is not. Therefore, the products can feel a bit heavy for my fine strands. I think they could be perfect for someone with more damaged or coarse hair that needs extra care and moisture 🧬 All in all, I am satisfied with both their shampoo and conditioner. Lovely consistency and manageable result
I tested the conditioner together with the No.4 shampoo, and the experience was somewhat better here. The formula is pleasantly creamy and easy to work into the lengths. It was easy to rinse out, and afterwards, my hair felt softer and easier to detangle. I have thick, long hair with fine strands, and it takes quite a bit for a product to make a real difference. Unfortunately not right for my hair
I have long and thick hair with fine strands that are naturally wavy and easily become frizzy. It hasn't been color-treated for about a year. I use heat tools daily, so I'm always looking for products that strengthen, moisturize, and make my hair more manageable without weighing it down. The shampoo from Olaplex is described as caring and strengthening, but for me, it didn't work at all as I had hoped. The consistency is extremely thick and concentrated, which made it difficult to work into my hair - it felt like it just sat on top rather than distributing evenly. OLAPLEX Bond Maintenance Conditioner
I haven't tested products from Olaplex before, which I really appreciate now that I've gotten to try this conditioner🧼 Just like the shampoo, the conditioner is concentrated, and a small amount is enough. The consistency is very thick & rich, which I initially thought I would need to use a lot of for it to be sufficient, but that's not the case. Less is more☝️ I would almost compare the consistency of the conditioner to a hair mask, actually! The scent is also just as fresh in the conditioner as in the shampoo; it really smells amazing. I find that my hair feels both smooth and fresh after washing and is easy to comb through. This is exactly the kind of moisturizing conditioner that my hair needs now during the winter months. The only thing I think works less well is that the cap is a bit hard to open sometimes in the shower. When the lid is closed, it sits quite tightly. But that's not something I think affects the product overall. A new favorite!! I have previously used products from Why Not, Milkshake & Joico for shampoo & conditioner, but I have never tried Olaplex before, which was sooooo fun to do. I really think it lives up to the expectations🪄 A big plus is that the product is economical, a small amount is enough to shampoo the entire scalp. In that way, the product also lasts longer, which I think is reasonable, especially since it is a shampoo that is on the more expensive side. As #influtester I got to try the Olaplex conditioner, and below is my honest review. 👁️ First impression The Olaplex conditioner comes in the same clean and minimalist design as the shampoo. Nice, but not super practical. The text on the bottle actually says to store it upside down, and now I understand why. The consistency is thick, really thick, and that makes it a bit hard to squeeze out of the bottle. I would have really appreciated a pump here. The scent is as mild as the shampoo's, almost none at all, which is perfect when you don't want your hair to smell like “perfume”. 🫧 Effect and results Once you finally get the product out, it is incredibly creamy and lovely to work with. My fine, slightly tangled hair loves this type of moisture bomb. I apply it to the lengths, and the hair absorbs it immediately.
