In short, skin flooding is about applying several thin layers of moisturizing products (often with one or more toners as a base) on lightly damp skin. The goal is not to use as many products as possible, but to give the skin moisture in several steps and then lock it in. For me, it has become a way to make the skin feel softer, calmer, and more hydrated. A step in the pursuit of the glow and hydrated skin that many associate with glass skin. I do my skin flooding after cleansing and before serum and moisturizer. In my routine, I use three different toners. The toners I am currently using are: Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner, Lumene Radiance Boosting Toner, and Beauty of Joseon Glow Replenishing Rice. I don’t use them because it has to be three toners. Each product serves a slightly different function in my routine, and in upcoming posts, I plan to explain more about why I chose these.
