🌙 ACO Face Purifying Night Balm
I like to use a more moisturizing night cream in the evening, and ACO Face Purifying Night Balm fits well into my evening routine. What I especially like is the feeling after application. The skin feels soft, hydrated, and cared for, which is exactly what I want from a night cream. I also appreciate that it is fragrance-free and developed for skin that may be prone to impurities. One thing I find interesting about this product is that it doesn’t just focus on hydration. It contains, among other things, panthenol and glycerin that care for and hydrate the skin, sarcosine which helps reduce excess sebum, and papain which provides a mild enzymatic exfoliation. For me, it feels like a good combination – a night product that both hydrates and is adapted for skin that may need a little extra balance. The only thing I would mention is that since it contains papain and has an exfoliating function, sensitive skin may need to get used to the product. In summary, I think it’s a well-thought-out night cream that gives the skin the hydration I want in the evening, while also having ingredients that are interesting for skin prone to impurities. Face Purifying Booster Serum (BHA) – an active step in the skincare routine
This was the product in the series I was most curious about. Face Purifying Booster Serum contains BHA, which makes it a more active step compared to a classic moisturizing product 💦 I like that the serum feels like a product with a clear purpose – to complement skincare when you want to focus a bit extra on a cleaner and more balanced skin. It is also one of those products where I appreciate the simplicity: a few drops 💧 and the routine immediately feels more thoughtful. One thing I think is important to mention is that BHA is an active ingredient, so this is not necessarily the product I would recommend overusing, especially if you have sensitive or unaccustomed skin. I rather think it fits best as a more conscious step in the routine and that you let the skin get used to it. The first thing I noticed about Face Purifying Day Cream was the nice, fresh feeling and how easy it is to make it part of the morning routine. LOVENOTES BY ARIANA GRANDE Vanilla Suede 🤍
I'll start by saying this: I'm really not a vanilla person when it comes to perfume. On the contrary, I usually find vanilla scents very difficult, as they can easily become too sweet, heavy, and almost a bit overwhelming for me. So I didn't exactly expect Vanilla Suede to be a scent I would fall for. But it surprised me. Vanilla is definitely present here, but it is accompanied by bergamot and sandalwood, which makes the scent feel softer and more balanced than the classic, very sweet vanilla scent I usually associate with this type of perfume. What I especially like is that it doesn't feel too strong. On me, I experience it as soft and pleasant, with a warm vanilla tone rather than a heavy vanilla bomb. There's simply more to the scent than just sweetness – and I think that's exactly why it works for me. I got it in the By Lyko Lovables – The LeyGlow Kit, and of all the scents, it's quite ironic that a vanilla perfume made me rethink 🤍 A vanilla scent for someone who actually doesn't like vanilla scent. That probably says it all. HEAT BY SOPHIA LIE - Sculpting tools
I’ve had the chance to get to know three tools from HEAT by Sophia Lie a bit better: Facial Gua Sha, Facial Cryo-Ball, and Ionic Body Brush 🧑🏻🩰🤍 The first thing that caught my attention was actually the whole package. The products are very nice, feel solid, and have a minimalist design that I like. But the interesting part is, of course, whether they are the kind of products you actually keep using once the novelty wears off. Facial Gua Sha A tool for facial massage. The shape makes it easy to work over areas like the jawline, cheeks, and neck. I like the feel of the tool itself and see it mainly as a little moment of massage and relaxation in my skincare routine. Facial Cryo-Ball This one I’m probably most curious about. It’s used cold for facial massage and is meant to give a cooling, refreshing sensation and temporarily help a puffy face feel less swollen. Feels instantly very nice for tired mornings. Ionic Body Brush A body brush for dry brushing. It feels sturdy and fits well in the hand. I like dry brushing as a ritual before showering, so it will be interesting to see how this one feels after regular use. My first impression: ★★★★☆ 4/5 I especially like the quality feel and simplicity. These are nice tools and feel significantly more solid than many similar products I’ve tried. At the same time, I don’t want to judge the results after just a first impression. Especially with this type of product, I think the most important question is: will I actually use them regularly? It’s not that almost scentless, strictly clinical skincare feeling, but here there is a clean and fragrant character that makes the skincare routine itself a bit more enjoyable. For those who prefer completely fragrance-free or very discreetly scented skincare, the scent may be perceived as prominent. For me, it’s a big plus. The textures also give a nice first impression, and the products feel pleasant on first contact with the skin. However, I want to use the Hyaluron-Filler + Longevity products over a longer period before judging things like hydration over time, radiance, firmness, and visible results. My second impression is a well-developed skincare routine with a clear dermatological focus. Here you’ll find skincare, makeup, haircare, body care, and fragrance from several brands I’ve been curious about, along with some real favorites. I’m especially looking forward to trying Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6, Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow, Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum, Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner, and Mixsoon Glacier Water Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The skincare part feels incredibly well thought out with a nice mix of active ingredients, hydration, and glow. Then there’s all those little extras that make the box even more fun: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Stix, Hickaps Preppy Prime Grip Lover, IDUN Ready Set Fix, Nioxins Hair Fall Defense Serum, and Ariana Grande LOVENOTES – plus several products for body and hair✨ And yes… I really appreciate that so much of the content comes in full sizes. kerastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Originale is one of those products I’ve had in my beauty routine forever. As you can see, my bottle is from the old design – and that says a lot about how long it’s been faithfully sitting on my bathroom shelf 🤭 But wow, how good it has been. A few drops in the lengths and the hair instantly feels softer, shinier, and more well cared for without feeling heavy or oily. Above all, I’ve loved it as a final finish when the hair needs a little extra shine and love. Now Kérastase has revamped both the packaging and actually updated the formula.
