Erborian CC Cream in "Clair" 🧴🌹
In a test pilot package from Lyko, I received a small sample of this CC cream in Clair from Erborian ♥️. Too little amount to determine long-term effect, but I still have to say that I’m impressed by the first impression! At first, it looks white-gray, but becomes skin-toned when I blend it out and fits perfectly with my neutral pale skin tone. Doesn’t cover everything I want (scars/acne), but it’s only supposed to have light coverage. Still, I think the overall skin tone evens out nicely and I like the feeling it gives! 🤍 A slightly thicker/slower consistency that feels smoothing on the skin surface. The skin feels smooth and I find that less makeup is needed on top and it sets more evenly/better. Also contains moisture + my favorite ingredient centella. Natural finish (though I don’t think it’s glowy). Doesn’t ball up with my skincare or makeup. 🧴 Actually a product I could consider buying and using as a primer or no-makeup-makeup days. L’Oréal Paris – Magic CC Cream Anti-Redness x Smartson 🪄
Magic in a tube? Unfortunately not for me 💯. I love this type of tube with a narrow tip – easy and nice to apply. What stands out about the product for me is the green color, which melts on the skin and is supposed to transform into "your own skin tone" 🧟♀️🪄. However, I was disappointed by this step! I am very pale and neutral – no matter how much I work the product in, the shade still ends up a bit too dark/orange and not quite my own skin tone. 😩 If you are as pale as I am, my tip is to test it in-store before buying! But if you have a bit of color in your skin tone, it probably suits you better 💛 SCENT: Sharp and somewhat generic perfume scent (would have preferred unscented). The texture is thin and smooth, easy to work with and not greasy. Dries quickly to a powdery soft-focus finish. Redness is toned down, but it doesn’t cover my purple/brown acne scars as well. Since the shade is too dark/orange for me, I need my usual CC Cream on top – making this an unnecessary step. I really understand why #lumene CC cream is so popular. It evens out the skin tone nicely, is easy to apply, and feels light on the skin. When I want something lighter than foundation, this is often the one I choose. On my dry skin, however, I notice that the glow fades after a few hours and that the skin can look a bit drier as the day goes on. Test
Testing a new base I got with the latest order from Lyko. Comes out as a white/gray cream. Feels more like a skin cream. Smells a bit neutral, like a skin cream, no overwhelming scent that is heavy, sweet, or anything else. The sample would have lasted for two uses, but I didn’t have a good way to save it now on vacation, so I used most of it now and threw away a tiny bit. So it became a thick layer on the face. Melts nicely into the skin. I perceive it as adapting to your color. Removes unevenness. Looked better than the pictures show. Based on this test, I would absolutely consider trying it even more. Note that a setting powder or something would probably feel good on top. Because I think it’s a bit sticky on the face. But my skin (after all the sun) felt a bit tight before I applied this, and now it feels soft and fresh. ☘️BEST for red & uneven skin
This is one of my "save if the house is on fire" products (😅 this one and my Mason Pearson hairbrush haha). And yes, you can clearly see here! It REALLY does the job of evening out and magically removing redness in my face that I naturally have. I've had this for years and still love it. I often use it alone as my base or as a primer under other products. Perfect for work 💓
I have now used this cc cream for over 2 months and absolutely love everything about it. I have acne scars and often have uneven skin tone (more reddish around the nose area/in the cheeks). This cc cream evens this out. The consistency is very easy to work with. It is applied like a face cream, and you can add more layers if you want higher coverage. I think it covers incredibly well for a cc cream - on par with some foundations. What I love most about this is that it doesn't feel heavy on the face like a foundation does. The skin breathes and stays hydrated throughout the day. Negative sides to this are that it can seem a bit too dark for some. I am «ivory» in skin tone, but personally like that this is a liiiitt darker as it gives a more «awake» look to the morning face at work. It is green but becomes skin-colored when blended into the skin. I have combination skin, where the t-zone often gets oily. This can also be experienced with this product after several hours. I usually set it with powder under the eyes and on the nose area when I apply it in the morning so that it stays nice throughout the entire workday - and evening.
