I haven't bought this calendar for my husband, even though I've really, really wanted to. So I have to say a few words to those considering buying it. 🏆 I've looked at all the products and I think they all seem great, and some of them I KNOW are. There are well-known brands and some less known, but none of poor quality. 🏆 I also like that there's an electric toothbrush included. That was a fun twist. The perfumes from Nõberu also have very good scents, masculine but fresh. 🏆 There's no typical calendar filler here, like Christmas decorations or scented candles. 😔 But I've realized how hard it is to please all men with a beauty and wellness advent calendar, or a By Lyko Lovables for men for that matter. 😔 My husband doesn't have hair on his head! And that's not unusual for an adult man. In this calendar, I've counted 8 hair products for men. All good. 😔 Other men again don't have beards. And there are three beard products. Also good products. 😔 So if a man has neither beard nor hair on his head, there's not much calendar left. 🏆 I understand it has to be that way. But on the positive side, there's no lubricant included. For many, it's uncomfortable to buy that for, for example, a younger family member. 🎁 But I really recommend it to those who want to buy an advent calendar for a man, whether it's a son, a nephew, a dad, or their loved one. If he has a beard and hair on his head, that is. 🎁 Well, I don't have many problems in life when I get frustrated over an advent calendar. But it is so incredibly nice. Too mild for an active lifestyle
My husband tests products for men, and I’m writing. 🌲 Bulldog Skincare is a British brand targeting men. 🌲 He has recently tested several products from Bulldog Skincare, and he likes the brand a lot. But he didn’t like this deodorant. 🌲 He says it doesn’t hold up and runs out quickly. He explains that the scent is too mild. For comparison, he uses typical deodorants from the grocery store. 🌲 And that’s probably why Bulldog’s can seem mild too, because those often have a strong scent. Bulldog has a more pleasant scent but smells like forest, as most men’s products do. 🌲 He has a physical job and an active leisure time. Surprisingly good scent
My husband tests, I write. He has now used up half a bottle of Rituals Homme Hair & Beard Oil and he is very satisfied. He really likes the scent. I agree with him. It is fresh, yet masculine. Rituals really nailed it here. He says the oil is pleasant for the skin, and the beard becomes soft and easy to shape. The design is good and the pump dispenses the right amount. Good scent, gentle on the skin
My husband is testing, and I’m writing. He has now used up almost half of the 500 ml bottle and can say that he likes it a lot. He perceives the shower soap as gentler on the skin than those available in grocery stores. He also thinks the scent is better and not as sharp. I agree. Although it smells like men’s products often do – forest – this one is much better. It’s fresh, and it has a more complex scent. He says that some of the scent lingers on the skin, but not for very long. He also thinks he gets a lot for his money. He has no complaints about the design. And he would consider buying it again. He gives it 4 stars, reasoning that there might be better products out there. Good balm - a bit boring scent
My husband tests products for men, and I write. After using Rituals shampoo and balm for beard for a few weeks, he can say that he quite likes it. He points out that the balm is very good and made the beard soft and easier to comb. He also had no skin reactions. The scent could be better, he thinks. Not because it’s bad, but other similar products smell better. I agree. This scent is very similar to the scent most men’s products have: forest. I think men are starting to get tired of it and want more variety. The price is good since it’s economical. The bottle has a well-functioning pump. It has a good design. Absolutely approved
My husband has decided to grow a beard, so going forward he will try to find products that suit him. So he tests, and I write. First up is Nõberu of Sweden, a relatively new brand (2016) with products aimed at men who want to "smell a bit different than pine needles." The products are also not "sold with scantily clad women in the ads." The founders have a hairdressing background and want to make products for men who don't necessarily feel at home in a typical macho culture. My husband told me he liked the product and gave it 4 stars. But he pointed out that he hadn't tried many beard and face washes before, so he deducted one star because he thought there were probably better products on the market. He liked the scent, had no skin reactions, and felt the beard became soft. I also thought it smelled good, but the scent didn't last. The scent is definitely unisex, but it leans clearly towards the masculine. He said the soap lathered well and was easy to use. Fresh, yet masculine
I received this set as a gift when I bought products for my husband. And he really appreciated it. This is something completely different from what he usually buys at the grocery store. More luxurious. Rituals shower foam has a scent I like better than the typical men's fragrances – it’s fresher. The first thing you notice is a fresh citrus scent – giving you the feeling that you are truly freshly showered. The main scent is cedarwood – a slightly warmer and more pleasant scent. Some spice notes like cardamom are also added. So this is a fresh, yet masculine scent. The spray deodorant opens with a fresh scent of mint and citrus – then white musk. The scent that lasts throughout the day is cedarwood and amber. The scent is not exactly the same as in the shower foam, but just as fresh and masculine. The scent of Rituals shower foam lingers on the skin and smells good almost until the next day. Rituals deodorant also held up well on a mountain trip in over twenty-five degrees Celsius. Personally, I’m not a big fan of spray products – I’m skeptical about what you might inhale. So if you have asthma or similar issues, you might want to be a bit careful. This is a nice gift for a teenager or young adult. I think it might be too fresh for older adults. My husband has problem-free and resilient skin and so far hasn't needed any other skincare than cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. He has been using Bulldog's products for years.
