First of all, I just want to emphasize that I have tried almost the entire series, except for the conditioner. I postponed trying it until I got the conditioner but ended up not getting it in time due to production issues. Thus, I have tried the series without the step of conditioner. But I look forward to trying it as well. The first impression of the product was so incredibly good. It comes in an incredibly nice cardboard box. When I opened it, it was truly a WOW feeling. Many hair oils come in completely different forms, but getting this one in a ball shape was so sickly fun. It feels a bit extra luxurious. Completely blank on what it’s called, but I love those that come out with such a dropper. There’s also something about it being transparent, also nice to see how much product is left and when it might be time to buy a new one. I might not be the biggest fan of chrome like the K is on the other products in the series, while this one is simple pink. So it appealed to me in many ways. Big plus just for the packaging itself. But the little extra could have been maybe pearl shimmer on the K? The scent is feminine, soft, and warm. A bit tangy but not as tangy as the rest of the series. My hair is very thin and highlighted. I usually struggle with a quickly oily scalp and dry ends. My hair has recently been cut and colored, so it’s not as dry as it usually is. But this series gives hope that I won’t need a new cut for a long time🤞🏼 I emptied a whole pump into my hand, massaged it well into my hands, and applied it to my hair. It gives a nice shine that I don’t feel comes through well enough on camera. The feeling is that it feels silky soft and super light. I have tried many hair oils where I really have to be careful to rub it in properly into my hands before applying, and even then it can quickly become too much, making the hair oily. But this one works like dry oils for the skin - it absorbs quickly. Which is great for my thin hair. This will definitely be used again! Unfortunately, no time to style my hair, but I can imagine this can bring out the curls a little extra, so I’m really looking forward to trying that. I’ll try to remember to do it when I get to try the conditioner as well. In the pictures, you can see no.1 BEFORE picture, no.2 AFTER picture of shampoo and leave-in conditioner, and finally no.3 where I have this hair oil in. Unfortunately, I feel the camera doesn’t capture how much shine it actually added. Finally, I want to say that the only downside is that the price is in the upper price range in relation to the content of 45ml. It’s about 13-14kr per ml. But the quality of the product, so I understand why it’s in the upper price range. But I look forward to trying it as well. The first impression is the packaging and oh. my. god. I love it when leave-in conditioner comes in these spray bottles. These compared to regular spray nozzles create an incredibly fine mist, feel so luxurious, and are so easy to apply. Additionally, it has a great lock/open function. The packaging has a nice pink color, although if I were to be picky, I would have liked it in a slightly darker shade like the rest of the series, a bit like the one on the conditioner. The chrome label is stylish, but chrome is not my favorite. But I know many friends who would have liked that detail. For me, it would have been cool to see it in more pearl shimmer. But that is very much a matter of taste and very picky of me haha. But definitely something I can have out and that looks satisfying. The scent is feminine and a bit tangy. The feminine scent in conjunction with the tangy, I can't quite put my finger on what it is - neither candy smell nor flower? But I conclude that it smells good. My hair is very thin and highlighted. I usually struggle with a quickly oily scalp and dry ends. The hair has recently been cut and colored, so it is not as dry as it usually is. But this series gives hope that I won't need a new haircut for a long time🤞🏼 Using the product was a delight. I love the fine mist and how silky soft the hair feels immediately. I had to comb my hair as it easily tangled, but with this, I got it out easily🙌🏼 Afterward, I blow-dried my hair, and picture no. 2 was taken after that. A bit worried when it comes to packaging with a sticker of ethics on it - very curious if this will hold on or eventually fall off or gather air bubbles. The other thing is that I am not the biggest fan of chrome as the K is in, but not so much that it bothers me. But if I could choose, I would rather have it in pearl shimmer. But aside from that, it feels luxurious😌 The scent is feminine and a bit tangy. The product feels gel-like until you mix it with water and foam it in your hands, but not as much as I have with other hair products. It cleansed the scalp without feeling dry, still feels hydrated. Often, hydrating products can give a heavy feeling, but this one does not! Unfortunately, I tried the products so late before the deadline that I can't unfortunately say anything about how it holds up. But it held up nicely for 2 days! Excited to see tomorrow. Afterwards, I used leave-in conditioner and hair oil from the same range. These helped to calm down my frizzy ends. But I feel that the step without conditioner is needed to really help the ends, so I look forward to receiving it and seeing if it creates a bigger change. I have previous experience using their Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment without glitter in the color «Strawberry Sourbet». This set the stage for me to expect it to be exactly the same, just with a little glitter. But I was wrong. The difference is that this one is a bit more towards orange than pink like the «original». Many describe this color as coral. Added a picture where you can see the difference. The packaging reflects the differences nicely as you can see that the one with glitter is a bit more orange in the packaging compared to the original. It is soft, easy to squeeze. The cap screws on and is made of hard plastic, so it doesn’t seem like it would break easily if you were to accidentally drop it. Aside from that, most things are very similar. They are a bit sticky in consistency BUT give an incredible shine that stays on the lips and doesn’t disappear. I feel like I only need to apply more after it has been 4 hours or after I have eaten. First of all, the packaging is very cute in a strong warm pink color with a big strawberry and lemon that reflects the product well. It can give a slightly more childish expression, so I wouldn't want to have it on display as it clashes with my aesthetic. But fresh colors and a summery expression, if you like it, this is spot on! The packaging has a super comfortable soft matte "top" that makes it easy to squeeze out the product. The lid is made of shiny hard plastic, I'm a bit worried about such lids as I've previously ruined them when being clumsy and dropping them on the floor. But it closes nicely, and I'm not worried about it opening during travel. The scent is really like a strawberry lemonade! strong smell of both strawberries (especially strawberry candy) and lemonade (lemon). If there's one thing I feel is consistent in Ole Henriksen's products, it's that they smell very strong. If you're sensitive to strong scents, this one probably isn't for you, but if you love it, this is spot on! So good that you almost want to eat it haha The product has a nice consistency and the "scrub grains" are incredibly fine. You can really feel that you're scrubbing your skin. If you have sensitive skin like me, I would be careful not to scrub too hard. Since the product has active ingredients like AHA acid, I would be cautious not to combine it with other products that have active ingredients. Personally, I think calming products were perfect to use afterwards. For example, Purito's calming centella unscented serum and their bamboo panthenol skin barrier cream. If you want to combine it with other Ole Henriksen products, I can imagine their "cold plunge pore remedy moisturizer" would fit well. I have to be honest and say I'm extremely skeptical about exfoliators with grains in them as I often find they become too rough for the skin. But I thought this one felt good, the skin feels clean and incredibly soft. I think as long as I make sure not to use it too often, it will only do good for the skin. But I make sure not to use it in combination with strong toners (for example, Glow 20H Dark Spot Toner) as that might be a bit much for my sensitive skin. Works...but
The packaging has an incredibly nice color!! Additionally, I am incredibly satisfied with the open and close function. It seems like it really locks and can't easily twist open during travel, big plus! Also in thick plastic, so it seems like it can withstand a fall. The only downside is that when I received the package, both the conditioner from this series and this one had some air bubbles under the plastic label that I absolutely can't get out. It doesn't look so nice, but it doesn't interfere with the function. But not so aesthetically appealing. The consistency of the product itself doesn't have a typical serum consistency? It's neither transparent nor watery. This reminds me more of a body lotion or leave-in conditioner in consistency. The scent is not very strong, so I would say it's mild but reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on? but a nostalgic feeling. I used 4-6 pumps of it on towel-dried hair before I applied Caia's heat protectant and blow-dried it. Before the serum, I used silver shampoo and conditioner from this series by ByLyko. I have added a before and after picture. Here you can see that moisture has been added. But I'm unsure if this is a new favorite. I probably need to use it longer. But absolutely a usable product! The price is also very reasonable for the wallet. Works BUT…
The first impression is the beautiful blue color! Such a nice pastel blue was such a fine choice. I usually prefer very neutral colors, so this was kind of perfect, still color, but not loud. I feel it’s often either or with hair products, but I know Bjorn Axen's repair duo is in light blue but I feel that one is more muted in the blue color. The packaging is in thick plastic which makes me feel it can withstand a fall without getting damaged. BUT conditioner is often thicker in consistency so you notice you have to use quite a bit of force to squeeze the bottle. Especially if you have nails and/or poor grip/muscle strength. So here it’s a big minus unfortunately. I fear that after a while, at least towards the end, you’ll have to mix with water to get the product out. One more thing is that the plastic seems to have air bubbles underneath it that I can’t get out, so it doesn’t look so nice. It came like this in the mail. So I’m unsure if I was just unlucky or if this is something that might be able to be resolved in the shower eventually? The product itself feels a bit nostalgic? Like I’ve smelled it before. In a way, it reminds me of my grandmother but I really can’t put my finger on why. But no bad smell, I can say that. Before this, I used ByLyko's silver shampoo, which can often dry the hair out a bit. So perfect to add something like this to add moisture back in. I think it does its job. But it should be noted that I have used their hydrating serum and Caia's heat protectant in addition. Attached a before and after picture where you can see that the hair got moisture added. One last thing is the price. Nice price for nice quality and ml. The first impression of the bottle is that the design is very simple and sleek. I can't say I LOVE it. Usually, I like neutral colors, but here I prefer the other series under Lyko with more color, for example, I really like the light blue color of their hydration series (I also wrote a review on this). The bottle is made of thick plastic, which is nice as it seems like the bottle can withstand a bit if you happen to drop it. The product is liquid enough that it shouldn't be a problem to get it out. The product itself has a slightly strong smell, but I feel this is something you can't escape when it comes to silver shampoo in general. But the smell doesn't linger in the hair, so you don't have to worry about that. My hair is quite bleached; before Christmas, I had quite a bit of regrowth and lightened it a bit, but it's still darker at the roots than at the ends. I first went over with regular shampoo, then I massaged this into the ends and worked my way up, but I didn't rub it into the scalp as I find from experience with previous silver shampoos that it makes my scalp itchy. I have a very sensitive scalp, so unfortunately, it doesn't take much. So I unfortunately don't have anything to say about how this one is for the scalp. But I let it sit for about 3 minutes before rinsing it out. What I can definitely say is that this does its job! You can see in the before and after picture that it has lightened a bit and removed the golden tones. No risk of it turning almost purple, something I had a lot of experience with when I was completely platinum a few years ago. Unfortunately, I'm not platinum anymore, so maybe the hair becomes more sensitive when it's more bleached, so it might be good to try with a shorter time the first time and see how it goes if you have lighter hair. I also have quite a bit of experience with hair tending to become drier after bleaching and using silver shampoo. But I had the pleasure of trying their hydration series as well, and that helped a lot. So be sure to use products that add a lot of moisture afterward. Worth checking out that series. Last but not least: Good price! Especially for a product with such quality and amount of ml. Perfect for their serum foundation🙌🏼
The brush is incredibly soft, I like the shape and how it feels both on the skin and in the hand. But I'm not a fan of the color of the handle. Very much a matter of taste, but I would rather wish it was in the lighter pink color I associate with the brand. I have reviewed three products from this brand, and they have a nice light rose beige color on the blush packaging and the top of the concealer that I liked very much. I also liked the pink/purple/beige color of the product's cardboard packaging. I used this to apply their serum foundation, and with circular motions, it applied SO nicely. So if you're thinking of buying that foundation, I would also recommend this makeup brush.
