The post was made 5 daysSkin 1004 Madagascar Centella Mini series Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam (Cleansing) This is a mild, pH-balanced cleansing foam (pH 5) that cleanses the face from dirt, excess oil, and makeup residue. It contains hyaluronic acid that binds moisture and citric acid (AHA) that provides a very gentle micro-peeling for a smoother skin surface. It is very good at removing dirt, oil, and other things the face is exposed to daily. It is my number 2 in cleansing on evenings when I have worn makeup or when I have worked with various sticky liquids I am exposed to at work. It gives me the feeling of clean skin that I seek, and I no longer need to use micellar water after cleansing to feel clean. The most important thing is that the skin does not feel tight from the cleansing, as many others do. Madagascar Centella Toning Toner (Facial toner) A lightweight toner that restores the skin’s moisture balance after cleansing while providing a gentle chemical peel. It contains PHA acid (Gluconolactone), which is the absolute gentlest acid for the skin. It gently removes dead skin cells and counteracts dullness without irritation, resulting in a smoother skin texture and a nice glow. It also contains niacinamide, which evens out skin tone. My opinion: It helped me counteract redness and felt like it kept the skin in check on days it was irritated and evened out the skin tone after long days at the pool and beach this summer. But I needed to apply it in several layers as my skin said slurp and it was already absorbed. Madagascar Centella Cream (Facial cream) A moisturizing facial cream that locks in moisture, provides nourishment, and creates a protective layer on the skin. It is enriched with TECA (the active substances from Centella Asiatica) and panthenol, which deeply repair and soothe damaged or stressed skin. My opinion: It’s okay, gentle, pleasant in texture. It melts into the skin quite quickly, so it leaves no residue, which is a top priority for me. It has a scent that makes me think of mint but does not have it in its ingredient list. So I investigated further and found this: The cream contains an ingredient called Lavandula Angustifolia Oil or Lavandula Spica Oil (lavender oil). When the strong, fresh plant scent from spike lavender mixes with the naturally “green” raw scent from the high content of Centella Asiatica, our noses perceive it almost exactly like mint. It is completely natural and exactly how the manufacturer formulated the product to give it its signature scent. This skincare series is one I have wanted to try for a long time but was unsure about, so I chose to buy minisize this time instead of large + I was going to travel. I want to try products for at least 3-4 months to be able to give a fair review of the products. But this time I am satisfied with my 2 months, though not on a daily basis as my skin needed other products to fill in where these could not provide for my skin. The cleansing gets 10/10 as I have tried it for almost 1 year and will always have it at home as number 1 in cleansing. The toner gets 6/10 as it helped me with redness and kept the skin in check during the vacation but did not give the moisture I needed, so I also needed an Essence to give what my skin needed during the summer. A slightly thicker consistency so I don’t have to pat it in 3-4 times would have given it 10/10. It ran out much faster as I needed more product. The cream gets 4/10 as it smells like mint, which made me worried that there were synthetic perfumes in it, and when I read, they can irritate the skin, especially in places where eczema occurs. Which I felt gave a burning sensation when using it when I got sun eczema during the vacation. So keep an eye out! 👀 Should I repurchase some? Yes, absolutely! Others not. But let’s dive into yes, no and why😊 CLINISOOTHE = yes and yes again!! Used it for so much and everywhere. On the face, in the armpit, after shaving, filled mini spray bottles and taken as hand sanitizer when I’m out with the kids. Used it to wipe the window on the plane. Wiped tables at the restaurant etc. This has been a game changer for me, such a versatile product makes me so happy because then I don’t have to have several things for different parts/purposes. PYUNKANG YUL = yes and no It has been wonderful and is as creamy as I like. In spring it was perfect, not thick enough to use in winter. It has been nice and just as moisturizing as I want in summer and wonderful to put in the fridge for days I want extra coolness. Spring= yes Summer= yes Autumn= no Winter= no ORDINARY (Mandelic acid 10% + HA) = Yes It has been wonderful and really helped me reduce and get rid of my pores and impurities. My skin is very sensitive and I had to start by only applying it to certain areas on the face. Like the nose, chin and some parts of the cheeks. The night after I used a barrier strengthening cream and gradually increased the areas on the face. This is supposed to be very gentle and one of the milder ones. The first time it caused irritation because I smeared it all over my face, not so smart of me.. But today (autumn) I use it once a week on the whole face and once only on the nose and the part I want to help/improve. PURITO = maybe or no It’s nice and it feels like it has done something but I don’t know what. I prefer using toner/essence rather than serum. It works well and doesn’t irritate my skin, but I will keep looking and hopefully find one I feel more confident helps my skin than this one. SOL DE JANEIRO ROSA (48) = yes, love the scent and that it’s so rich and creamy. It smells sweet and summery. Coconut with vanilla and hints of flowers. I think the scent lasts longer on clothes and skin than regular lotion. It’s too rich for my skin in summer but perfect the rest of the year. Tip: Use a little of this and then the mist, so the scent lasts all day without problems in summer. Scent notes: Top notes: Guava nectar and coconut water (gives the fruity and fresh start). Heart notes: Sunny orchid, lemon twist and wild iris. Base notes: Pink musk and a soft cloud of vanilla (gives a sweet and warm finish). YELLOW (62) = no, don’t like the scent. I don’t think it smells good either in the jar or on my skin. Used it up hoping to change my mind but my nose just says yuck. Sad when I know many like it. Scent notes: Top notes: Pistachio and almond. Heart notes: Heliotrope and jasmine leaves. Base notes: Vanilla, salted caramel and sandalwood THE BODY SHOP = no It removes makeup and impurities but I have found a new and much better one. The packaging is very annoying and sometimes I couldn’t open it at all. It has to be applied on a wet pad to not irritate my eyelids. I have to rub more than needed with an oilier product.
