Awesome!
The last #lykoinflutester assignment of the year is this series from L'oréal, and here are my thoughts on the mask, first a bit of info about my hair: • My scalp gets oily quickly, but the lengths are a bit dry. • Thin and lacks volume. • Losing quite a bit of hair. • I dye my hair at home, about every 6 weeks. • Hard municipal water. I initially found it a bit confusing that you shouldn't use any conditioner but this mask instead. From what I understand, this mask is a bit more effective than a regular conditioner and is probably needed since the feeling after shampooing is a bit detox-like (even though the shampoo isn't a pure detox shampoo). About the product: • Jar with a screw lid, not my favorite packaging in the shower. • Creamy, thick, and "cozy" consistency. Feels like a hug for the hair! • The scent is a minus for me. This citrus/lavender/"hay" thing is a real divider - you either love or hate the scent. • Short application time - big plus! However, better effect with longer application time. • Feels gentle but effective! • A little goes a long way. I accidentally (as usual) took way too much the first time, but then I noticed my hair felt heavy. The result: • Leaves hair soft and manageable. • With the right dosage, it doesn't weigh my hair down. • Leaves a nice shine, smooth, and no frizz. • As I mentioned about the shampoo, my hair gets oily faster, but I think that's due to the shampoo, not the mask, since I only have it in the lengths. Would have given five stars if it weren't for the scent and the bulky jar with a screw lid. Works well, but smells strong!
I have thin Nordic hair that is a bit bleached at the ends. Before I started testing the Metal DX series from L’Oréal Professional, my hair was dry and frizzy. It needed both moisture and shine. The hair mask comes in a classic jar that looks nice. It is economical in use and easily settles in the hair. If you have thin hair like me, I recommend being careful with the amount of product and ensuring it is thoroughly rinsed out. The product is so liquid that I personally would have preferred it to be in a bottle, as that would have made adjusting the amount during application easier. As mentioned in the title, the mask works very well for my hair type. I found that it became shinier and healthier. But.. and this is a big BUT, the entire Metal DX series smells, according to my partner and several of my friends' feedback, veeeery strong!! I simply had to give up testing after a week and a half, as I felt like I was walking around smelling like a men's wardrobe. The series smells very similar to Axe body spray for men, not a scent I personally prefer to be associated with. (I received several comments on this, without anyone knowing I had these products in.) Wow so shiny
WOW! I was very impressed with this hair mask! I have a lot of hair and also fine hair strands. After washing, it’s quite frizzy and lifeless. But this mask really gave me hope for shiny hair! Very good hair treatment
Very good treatment for dry, treated hair. I have thick, dry hair with a lot of fall, and it gets frizzy when air-dried. But of course, you can also use it on the scalp 🥰🤞 Just keep in mind that it can weigh down and be a bit much for the scalp depending on how thin/thick your hair is since it focuses on providing a lot of moisture! Silicones?
Does this contain silicones/falling silicones? I saw that the shampoo contains worse silicones. Conditioner?
I can't see that there is any conditioner in this series. I only find shampoo, pre-shampoo, mask, and then a few leave-in things. Is the idea that you should use the mask with every wash like a conditioner, or should you just use some random conditioner? For strong, shiny, and healthy hair 🌸

Metal DX Hair Mask
I have been using the Metal DX hair care line from L’Oréal for the last month. This mask is supposed to provide moisture to dry hair, prevent hair breakage, and preserve color. I have long, dry, and colored hair, so this mask is perfect for me! It should be used after shampoo, preferably on towel-dried hair. Let it sit for about 1 minute and rinse out. I think it’s a big plus that it works so quickly - then it gets used more often 😊 The hair becomes immediately very soft and nice, and I think it looks like the color stays nice longer! The mask heals hair and smells like a man 😁
I use this mask to give nourishment and strength to my hair. They are porous, require care and attention, I dye them blonde. After shampoo, I need a mask or conditioner to make my hair soft and manageable. I use the mask on damp hair. I let it sit on my hair for 3-5 minutes and rinse it out, style my hair, do not use a straightener. The hair becomes soft and smooth. Smooth and shiny.
