Popular for a reason!
I bought this mascara a while ago and now over Christmas I started using it. I had heard so much good, so it was fun to finally try it myself too. I absolutely understand why it is so popular because it is really good! 😍 Not too sticky but also not dry and crumbly, so just right. Nice packaging and good brush, or I like a bit smaller brushes so this was to my taste👍🏻 Gives good black color but I am also curious to try this mascara in brown, I think it would be suitable for everyday use. I think the lashes become long and separated, I usually like not to have too much mascara on my lashes, but it surely works well to build up with several layers if you want a more intense look. My only little problem was that when we were away on a trip over Christmas and I had used this mascara, it was a bit trickier than normal to remove the mascara. There was minimal warm water coming out of the tap in our hotel room, and you need 38+ for this to dissolve😅 So it took a while to get it off then, but otherwise here at home when I use it, it is very easy to remove it with warm water💦 (so as long as you have warm water, it works just fine😜) #lykoreview - Most helpful negativeThe post was made 3 monthsRating: 1 out of 5verified customer
Very dissatisfied :(
I had high hopes that the mascara would keep my lashes curled and pretty, but they fell down immediately… The mascara is also hard to work with as it clumps and flakes a lot. Super cool!
This mascara is great if you want volume without clumping lashes. The blue color is quite subtle but gives a nice little hint of color in the right light. It’s easy to build up, doesn’t flake much, and is pretty gentle on sensitive eyes. Not the most dramatic mascara, but very nice for everyday use. Such a good vegan mascara!
My first impressions of Idun Minerals Mascara VATN were very positive when it comes to the packaging and the brush. It feels solid and the brush looks like it can separate the lashes well, which is exactly what I’m looking for in a mascara. I have quite sensitive eyes and prefer mascaras that are gentle but still give a defined look. For me, it’s important that the mascara stays in place even if it rains or I get warm during the day. The formula of VATN is fantastic. It’s a 38-degree mascara, which means it stays put all day without flaking or smudging, but is still easy to wash off with just warm water. It gives nice volume and length without clumping. But when it comes to the color “Blue,” unfortunately, I felt it didn’t really suit me and my green eyes. It’s very pigmented, which is great if you like the style, but personally, I prefer a more classic look. Result The result was technically very nice! The lashes became long, separated, and held their shape all day. Gives volume and has a good black color
I really liked the mascara from Idun! It gives full lashes, even though I have quite thin and few. I alternate between this and Panorama from L’Oréal, but I have to say that Idun's gives better volume and also looks blacker 👌🏼 It is also easier to wash off, which I really appreciate. The only negative is that my eyes have sometimes become a little irritated. It feels strange since Idun is sold at pharmacies and should be thoroughly allergy tested. I'm not entirely sure if it's due to the mascara, but I suspect it. I'm thinking of buying it again to see if the irritation returns. Another negative thing is that the mascara, since it is quite voluminous, can become a bit clumpy over time. Yes, just like the title says, I have proclaimed myself to be some sort of mascara pro anyway✨😅 I have gone through many mascaras over the years and am a critical person when it comes to mascaras as I have high expectations. I have lashes that are quite long in themselves and "thick" so even if I curl them, they lay back down as usual after 10 minutes. I have almost never needed to curl my lashes when I find the right mascara because then the mascara does all the work for me with the curls! And Idun's 38-degree mascara is some of the best we have!✨✨✨ It separates nicely, it lays down a good amount of product, it can be built up nicely, it gives the lashes insane length, and the CURL I get from this mascara is just wow! When you apply mascara, work the lashes UPWARD, not just brush the color straight onto the lashes but work upward towards the eyelid, any mascara that gets on the lid can easily be removed when the mascara has dried with a spoolie😍👏🏼 and last but not least, it is incredibly easy to wash off, with just 38-degree water, poof, it's gone! Use:
Apply the mascara at the base of the lashes first in a wiggle motion, and then apply it towards the tips of the lashes. Remove using warm water (around 38°C) that will gently detach the formula from the lashes – no need to use a makeup remover.
