I bought the black one with maybe not super high expectations because most aren't that good in pigment or the color gets weird on BUT. elf has done it again, their all night is genuinely the best black lipstick I've ever tried and I've still gone through many. Safe and stylish as a first lipstick
Disclaimer: I rarely wear lipstick, so I have zero clue how to make it last well. Purchased shade: spicy I have used this directly on my lips: nice edges, good consistency, and if you don’t have too much product it won’t smudge that much (but it still smudges a little). For me, it wears off quite a bit in the middle if I eat, drink, and lick my lips over a few hours without reapplying, but I think it looks nice that way, kind of like having a very defined but intentional lip liner (if you know what look I mean)? So if I want the solid color, I have to carry the stick in my pocket. I’ve also tried putting a small amount of product in the center of my lips and then smudging it out to give my lips a bit more color and life in a subtle way. Good lipstick
Really good lipstick and lovely formula. Matte without becoming dry and flaky like some matte lipsticks can easily get. I have the black, All night, and the darkest red, Smolder. The only downside for me is the packaging, which I find bulky. Pretty but doesn't last long
