How to Use:
Press-On Nail Guide
These flexible press-ons are designed for a seamless fit. Each nail is numbered, making it a breeze to match with your natural nails.
Preparation:
1. Test all sizes and file as necessary. If a perfect fit eludes you, pick a slightly larger nail and finesse the edges for a custom fit.
2. Give yourself a comprehensive manicure – shape and file your nails, gently nudge back your cuticles with the manicure stick, and even out the nail surface with a buffing file. Pro tip: Swipe on some Depend Cuticle Peeling to banish dead skin for a longer-lasting press-on application.
3. Swipe your nails with an acetone-free polish remover for a clean surface. We're fans of the Depend Super Fast Nail Polish Remover. Make sure your nails are bone dry before moving on. Skip the soap and water to keep the adhesive strong.
APPLICATION WITH GLUE
1. Before you pop open that glue, cover up any surfaces to guard against spills. Twist off the glue cap, keep the tube upright, and twist the wing to get started. Remember, this tube is a one-and-done deal – it can't be closed again. So, keep it upright to avoid any messy leaks.
2. Glide a thin layer of glue over the press-on nail, making sure it's ready to bond with your natural nail. Watch out for your cuticles!
3. Align the press-on nail just so at the cuticle, then gently press it down towards your nail, ensuring the glue spreads evenly to avoid any pesky bubbles. Hold firm for 5-10 seconds.
Glue Precautions: Stuck on you? Don't pull – use an acetone-based remover instead. Press-on nails are a no-go if your natural nails are looking a bit worse for wear. And remember, nail glue doesn't play nice with fabrics, so keep it clear of your clothes.
NOTE: Once opened, the glue tube is not resealable. Keep it upright to prevent any spillage.
To remove your press-ons, reach for the Depend Press-On Nail Remover. And whatever you do, don't yank them off – it's harsh on your natural nails.
APPLICATION WITH TABS (double-sided nail tape)
1. Pick a tab that fits snugly on your natural nail, avoiding any skin contact.
2. Peel off a tab, stick it on your nail firmly, then remove the protective layer. Easy peasy.
3. Place the press-on nail close to the cuticle and gently press it down towards your nail. Hold it there for 10-15 seconds for a secure fit. Tip: Tackle one nail at a time and steer clear of water for the first hour.
4. Yes, you can reuse your fabulous nails! To remove, just soak in warm water and gently pry off with a manicure stick. Let them dry out before their next outing.
NOTE! To keep your nails happy and healthy, stick to a 10-day max wear time for your press-ons. Give your nails a little breather before going for round two, ensuring they're in tip-top shape. And remember, pulling off your nails is a big no-no – it's tough on your natural nails.
How to Use:
Instructions for use – artificial nails
Perfectly fitting flexible artificial nails. Each artificial nail is numbered so that you can easily tell which artificial nail fits your natural nail.
Preparation:
1. Try all the sizes, filing them down as needed. If you do not find an artificial nail that fits perfectly, select one that is slightly larger than your nail, and file the edges to fit.
2. Give yourself a regular manicure – start by filing and shaping your nails. Gently push back your cuticles with an orange stick. You can also use a buffer to even out the nail surface. Tip! Use Depend cuticle peeling to remove all dead skin cells along the cuticle and on your nails, as this will help your artificial nails to last longer.
3. Clean your nails with a nail polish remover that is free from acetone and oil; we recommend Depend Super Fast nail polish remover. Allow to dry thoroughly. Do not wash your hands with soap and water, as this will affect the bonding surface.
APPLICATION USING GLUE
1. Protect surfaces against possible spillage before opening the tube of glue. Remove the cap, hold the tube of glue upright and twist off the tab to open the glue. NB: The tube is a single-use product and cannot be resealed. For that reason, do not lay the open tube down, as the remaining glue may leak out.
2. Apply a thin layer of glue over the entire surface of the artificial nail that will come into contact with your natural nail. NB! Take care not to get glue on your cuticles.
3. Place the back edge of the artificial nail close to the cuticle and slowly lower the nail onto your natural nail, so that the glue spreads over the whole nail – this minimises the risk of air bubbles forming. Press firmly for 5-10 seconds.
Precautions for glue: If the skin surface sticks together, do not pull apart, but use an acetone-based remover. Never use artificial nails if your natural nails are thin or damaged, or if you have an infection. Keep away from direct heat. Nail glue may stain or damage fabrics. Protect surfaces against possible spillage before opening the glue. Remove the cap, hold the tube of glue upright and twist off the tab to open the glue.
NB: The tube is a single-use product and cannot be resealed. For that reason, do not lay the open tube down, as the remaining glue may leak out.
To remove artificial nails, use Depend Artificial Nail Remover. NB! Never break or pull an artificial nail off, as this may damage your natural nail.
APPLICATION USING TABS (double-sided adhesive)
1. Select a tab that fits your natural nail. It should cover as much of the nail surface as possible without touching the skin.
2. Lift up the thin protective film and remove one tab from the sheet. Hold the tab by its small plastic tab and press it carefully into place on your nail. Remove the protective plastic layer by pulling the small tab.
3. Place the back edge of the artificial nail close to the cuticle and slowly lower the nail onto your natural nail. Press the nail into place for 10-15 seconds. Tip: Do one finger at a time. Avoid contact with water for around one hour after application.
4. Reuse your nails! If you use tabs for the artificial nails, you can reuse the nails. To remove when using with tabs: immerse the nails in warm water and carefully remove each nail with the aid of an orange stick. Allow the artificial nails to dry before reusing.
NB! You are advised not to wear the artificial nails for more than 10 days running. You should then give your nails a break before applying new artificial nails, and they should be in good condition when you do. Never break or pull an artificial nail off, as this may damage your natural nail.
