As a #lykoinflutester, I received this LED/EMS mask from #silkn. Those of you who have been following me here on LYKO for a while know that I have issues with hypopigmentation (pigment-free acne scars) combined with melasma (brown/gray skin areas). It feels like I have tried every product that claims to help with pigmentation, but nothing has worked. The only thing I havenβt tried is light therapy. I have used this in combination with a tailored cream from Dermatica, antioxidants in the form of skinceuticals ce ferulic, and SPF50. I have used the mask every day for 6 weeks. A Gamechanger π― This LED mask from Silkn also has built-in EMS that trains your facial muscles to counteract wrinkles and sagging. I have previously tried both Foreo UFO and Foreo bear, which have similar functions. Silknβs mask is a gamechanger because it does the work for you, so you donβt have to use your hands. EMS β‘οΈ The EMS function has 10 different levels, there is plenty of room to work my way up. I use EMS 3 times a week so that the muscles have enough time to recover. The only thing that has been uncomfortable is when you feel the current going through your teeth. Material and function π The Silkn mask is made of soft silicone and is secured with Velcro around the head. It is clear that the mask primarily focuses on pigmentation as it has red/yellow and near-infrared light. I absolutely LOVE that Silkn, so we donβt miss out on the blue light, has built it into the little control box that comes with it. Perfect for spot treatment of acne. In hindsight, I can only conclude that it is ridiculously worth the price compared to all the skincare and treatments I have spent money on to improve my pigmentation. π« Result: Melasma fades away I have used the mask in combination with a pigmentation cream and the antioxidant CE-ferulic. The results speak for themselves - absolutely insane! I started with noticeable melasma on my forehead and at the temples/under the eyebrows β and now those spots are practically gone. Change in the formula?
Has L'Oreal changed the formula in this oil? The new version is runny and doesn't feel nearly as nourishing as the old one, which unfortunately makes it a completely different product that I would no longer recommend.Translated from swedish

A moisture serum that delivers π§
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to test skincare from the skinfluencer brand SAWΓ Skin Science, including their Hyaluronic Catalyst Power Serum with pretty low expectations. Partly because I have previously reacted strongly to algae, which is found in the ingredient list, and partly because I generally think that moisture serums are often an unnecessary product in the skincare routine. But that said: if you are to judge a moisture serum for what it is and is supposed to do, this one does its job. It effectively hydrates and helps to lock in moisture in the skin, without feeling heavy, sticky, or clogging (algae notwithstanding). It works well in layers with other products and gives a soft, pleasant feeling on the skin. It is not a product I see as necessary in my routine, but it is a well-formulated serum that delivers what it promises, and for those looking for a hydrating step, it is a really good option. Positively surprised by the SAWΓ Radiant Revive Eye Cream! π§ It deeply hydrates and helps to fill in dry lines around the eyes, making the area softer and more elastic. I was initially skeptical because it contains algae (which I have previously reacted strongly to), but my skin has tolerated this cream without any issues! I think it works better as an eye mask than a traditional eye cream since the consistency is quite thick. I apply it in a thicker layer in the evening and let it sit overnight. In the morning, I rub in any remaining product, and my skin feels soft, hydrated, and protected. It forms a thin film that locks in moisture overnight and creates a really nice "climate" for the eye area. The ingredients then? Good combination of moisture and fat. This product contains carrageenan, which is supposed to be a less comedogenic algae. Therefore, I will patch test the product behind my ear for a few weeks to see how it goes. Cocoa surprise π€©
This lip balm is super cute and looks nice π, but I think there are better options in the price range. It comes in a jar, which makes application tricky and less hygienic β a squeeze tube would have been better. It doesn't smell like strawberry and lemon, but like cocoa and coconut, so it has a warm and sweet scent, which is not at all what I expected. The formula is soft and moisturizing thanks to shea butter, avocado butter, and coconut oil, and it gives the lips a nice feel. This product is finely grained and sugar-based, which means it exfoliates effectively but still gently. The shea butter prevents the scrub from falling off the skin, and it stays put until you rinse it off instead of falling off like other scrubs.
