Lately, my hair has been breaking a lot due to too strong bleaching/highlighting :( In the gym locker room, I looked at my ponytail and was shocked at how dry, broken, and lifeless it looked! So I decided that now I need to invest in hair products again to stop the breakage and make my hair look lively again. The before and after pictures were taken on the same day, can you believe it! 1. I washed my hair with K18’s deep cleansing shampoo to remove all heavy product residues and accumulated metals/minerals from my hair. 2. I applied the fragrance-free hair mask from the Finnish brand Sim Sensitive DS, which is seriously good! You could tell from the texture that it would do good for the hair. I let it sit for at least 10 minutes. 3. My favorite conditioner <3 Redken’s acidic color gloss. My coarse hair needs a thick conditioner that really moisturizes and makes the hair smooth + shiny. Many of Redken’s lines are great for this. 4. Then almost the most important thing, the leave-in conditioner! The job of the leave-in conditioner is to lock in all the benefits of the hair care products applied in the shower. The product itself also adds extra moisture, shine, and most importantly protects the hair and prevents breakage. Also, Redken’s all soft moisture restore leave-in conditioner contains heat protection and smells absolutely wonderful. Good buy! 5. Then I blow-dried my hair and finished with Kerastase glaze drops hair oil… Such an amazing result! I have only tried the product once so far, but it had an immediate effect on my blonde hair. If I don’t use cleansing shampoo and purple shampoo for a couple of washes, the hair gets a noticeably yellow/orange tint and generally looks darker. After one wash with this, the hair looks completely fresh, clean, and cool again, without leaving the hair grayish. I like the idea that this is both cleansing shampoo and purple shampoo in one. Easy to apply – shake the bottle well and take a couple of pumps of foam in your hands before applying it all over the hair. I only needed 2 pumps to cover all my hair. Very good consistency and easy to spread when it’s foam – I especially liked that! I’m going to the hairdresser to freshen up my highlights this week and am curious how the product will behave in the hair afterwards. Hair and Body Prep
Travel day and today I'm prepping my hair with K18. 9 days in sun and saltwater and I'm not the type to keep my hair above the water; here we dive!!🐠🐬🦈 Two hours a day underwater and then swimming on top of that. I think I might have tested all the cleansing shampoos on the market worth testing, and none compare to this one. It costs a bit, but is very economical in use. I usually use this for 2 rounds when I first use it, but you only need a pea-sized amount to cover the entire scalp (avoiding the lengths). It smells very clean and neutral, if you ask me. Some cleansing shampoos can make the hair very difficult to work with (including Kevin Murphy's), and you often have to finish with another shampoo, but that's really not necessary with this one. The hair is still manageable and not dry. I use the product about once a week in two rounds so it lathers properly. In addition to cleansing the scalp of grime and dirt, it also neutralizes the color tones in my hair, which is highlighted and bleached blonde. In combination with a good silver shampoo every now and then, the color becomes very even and cool. Highly recommended, will buy again and again. My K18 routine
2026 is going to be the year that I take extra good care of my hair. So of course I need K18, I use it about 1-2 times a month. For it to work as well as possible, the hair must be completely clean. That’s why I go in with a clarifying shampoo from Malibu C. After that, I towel dry my hair and then go in with K18. I’m careful to section my hair so that each strand gets product on it. I let it sit for at least 4 minutes before I go in with my leave-in products. Hello all you lovely members✨ With this post, I want to recommend the products that have saved my severely bleached hair. 🙌🏼 I have been bleaching my hair at least 2 times a year for the past 4 years. I quickly noticed how dry and damaged my hair became after the first bleaching. That’s when I felt I needed to save my hair to avoid having to cut it off. I started testing various hair masks, shampoos, serums, etc. The product that improved the quality of my hair at the first use was the k18 Leave In Molecular Repair Mask; after several uses, I saw how my hair came back to life. I had the honor of testing this leave-in mask from K18. I've heard a lot of good things about K18 but have never tested it myself, so I'm very grateful to have been able to try these, and I just say wow! This is truly magic in a bottle. I've used this in conjunction with K18 detox shampoo, and it’s really a super combo. The shampoo cleanses the hair of all dirt, then I towel-dry my hair and apply about 4 pumps of this to my hair. I wait for about 5 minutes, and then I can brush my hair out without any problems! I obviously use other products as well when I use this, but my hair has never been so easy to detangle as when I’ve used this! It moisturizes the hair and makes it easy to brush through! I had the honor of testing this detox shampoo from k18. I have never used k18 myself before, but I have heard very good things about it, and now I really understand the hype! The packaging is simple in appearance and has a very good pump function for opening and closing. The shampoo smells really good and fresh without being too perfumey. The shampoo is a bit black but transparent in color. When you lather it up, it looks like a regular shampoo. This detox shampoo really cleans deep and removes all dirt without drying out the hair too much. Freshens up the hair!
I have been able to test two products from #lykoinflutester for a couple of weeks as #K18, super fun since it’s a brand I’m familiar with from before and that I really like! I have tried their detox shampoo and Leave in mask 🤩 The first impression of the product is a fresh scent and a bit scary color since I’m not used to an almost black color! 🫣 I feel that it’s not too strong of a scent but still enough for the hair to smell fresh even after the shower. And the color was no problem, as soon as you start lathering up the shampoo, it looks like any other! Good, but expensive
I have used this after the K18 Detox Shampoo and then twice with another shampoo. When I used this after the Detox shampoo, I was a bit unsure if it would detangle my hair, if it would condition, etc. But, a couple of pumps and my hair detangled while brushing like it was nothing (which was quite a miracle, since the Detox shampoo had made a few knots in my hair). The static in my hair was gone and my hair didn’t really need any other conditioning products. Now I have used it a couple of times after using another shampoo and I still don’t need any other conditioning products. The biggest difference with this is that the static in my hair is completely absent. Without using the Detox shampoo, one pump is enough, with it 1.5 - 2 pumps. I have tested this product, and it really cleaned the scalp very well! It clearly washed clean, but my hair didn't end up too dry, which positively surprised me! It does require a conditioner or hair mask after use, but after trying a few other deep cleansing products, this one made a really positive impression.
