  How are these used? Dyed my hair light brown, was yellow-orange before I dyed it. Now a lot of orange is shining through.. can any of these remove it? I want a cool color, but not dark brown. Light brown or slightly darker works fine.

    Hey Ina! These work like a "regular" semi-permanent color, or mini color as you can also call it.   Same, same - but different

  As a user of the "old" formula, I jumped on the new formula in color 5.1: easy to use and gives a wonderful end result where my undertone is more towards "ash" and away, away, away from all red and golden tones! As usual, when I dye my hair darker, it first turns a bit darker than desired, but that disappears after one or two washes and is completely normal. Is there even a difference between the "new" and "old" formulas? Yes, there is, and then it's up to the users to decide if it's "better" or "worse". The older formula was a dye that held wonderfully well; the new formula is a semi-dye and it "bites" more into my hair - so basically, it feels like I've dyed my hair. (I have fine, thin hair, fyi) For me, it works perfectly, but if you expected to be able to wash the color out - like the old version - be prepared that it might not happen now. Happy Colouring!

  Hi. Is this a new variant of the old Revlon Color Excel toning 5.1? I can see that it has been discontinued from the range and now this one is available instead, but without any further description.
