Shampoo that adds shine
I have long, thick, and colored hair, and this shampoo (with matching conditioner) adds shine to my hair after use. However, I don't find that it removes tangles and knots, but I think it's hard to find hair care lines that do since I have such thick hair and it easily gets tangled. As others have mentioned, the scent is mild, so it's a plus if you have trouble with strong scents. And as the nerd I am, I also like how the bottles are designed, very pretty to have on display. #lykoinflutester #olaplex1 product in post Shampoo that adds shine1102 views - Most helpful negativeThe post was made 4 monthsRating: 2 out of 5Verifierad testare
Unfortunately not right for my hair
I have long and thick hair with fine strands that are naturally wavy and easily become frizzy. It hasn't been color-treated for about a year. I use heat tools daily, so I'm always looking for products that strengthen, moisturize, and make my hair more manageable without weighing it down. The shampoo from Olaplex is described as caring and strengthening, but for me, it didn't work at all as I had hoped. The consistency is extremely thick and concentrated, which made it difficult to work into my hair - it felt like it just sat on top rather than distributing evenly. I had to struggle to achieve an even cleanse, which made the experience quite cumbersome. The scent is also quite strong and chemical, and for me, it doesn't feel particularly luxurious. After a few uses, I noticed that my hair felt unusually flyaway and unruly, and I even thought that some lengths felt a bit straw-like than usual. It can't be said for sure that it was the shampoo, but I haven't experienced this with other products. Unfortunately, it's not something I will continue with. It simply didn't suit my hair type. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #OLAPLEX1 product in post Unfortunately not right for my hair776 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The post was made 4 daysRating: 5 out of 5
WOW!!
This is not an ordinary cleansing shampoo, but a treatment in shampoo form. It contains Olaplex's patented molecule $Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate$, which works to repair broken sulfur bonds in the hair strand. The positives (Why it’s an icon): Extremely economical: This is probably the most economical shampoo on the market. You only need an amount the size of a one-cent coin for the entire hair. It lathers a lot if the hair is properly wet. Truly repairs: If your hair is bleached, colored, or heat damaged, it makes a noticeable difference. It helps the hair feel stronger and significantly reduces frizz. Color safe: It is very gentle on hair color and extends the shine of expensive salon colors. Luxurious feel: The classic "Olaplex scent" (citrus/sweet) is fantastic, and the hair feels softer immediately upon rinsing. The negatives (Warnings you need to hear): "Heavy" feeling: If your hair is not damaged or chemically treated, Olaplex can make the hair coarse or heavy. Hair that is already strong needs moisture, not bond repairers. Does not deeply cleanse: If you use a lot of styling products or have an oily scalp, No.4 can feel too nourishing. It’s more like a cream than a soap. Price: It’s an investment, although the economy balances it out in the long run. Hard to rinse out: If you accidentally use too much product, it can be hard to get it all out, which can leave a "sticky" feeling in the neck. Buy it if: You bleach your hair, use a flat iron often, or have hair that breaks easily. It’s a lifesaver for chemically processed hair. Skip it if: You have completely natural, uncolored hair ("virgin hair") or very fine hair that easily gets flat. Then it’s better to go for a pure volume or moisture shampoo.1 product in post WOW!!134 views - The post was made 3 weeksRating: 4 out of 5
Lovely consistency
I have never used Olaplex before, but tried it because so many thought it was "absolutely amazing". I have been using the shampoo for three months. The shampoo is incredibly concentrated, a tiny little bit is enough for my long, naturally curly hair. The shampoo lathers up to a wonderful compact foam. Another advantage is that it is not so heavily perfumed, it has a mild scent.1 product in post Lovely consistency729 views - The post was made 1 monthRating: 3 out of 5
Olaplex No. 4 Maintenance Shampoo
I don't know if my hair is a special case, but this gave me greasy hair pretty quickly. But I have Nordic hair, I don't know how it is on other hair types.1 product in post Olaplex No. 4 Maintenance Shampoo1005 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo
This is a shampoo I keep coming back to, even though I sometimes try other ones in between. The first thing I noticed was how little product is actually needed – it lathers up nicely even though it’s quite concentrated, so one bottle lasts a long time. I’ve used it both alone and together with OLAPLEX No.5, and I find that my hair feels clean without becoming rough. After washing, my hair feels softer, stronger, and more cohesive, especially in the lengths that otherwise easily become dry. I also notice that my hair doesn’t feel as damaged between haircuts when I use this regularly. The shampoo works well for my hair even with several washes a week, but I can imagine that very dry hair might need to be supplemented with a proper hair mask sometimes. The only little downside for me is the scent – it’s neither disgusting nor particularly nice, just quite neutral and anonymous, which is of course a matter of taste. The packaging is simple and practical, although I – just like with several Olaplex products – would have wished for a slightly more luxurious feel, for example glass instead of plastic. In summary, this is a reliable and caring shampoo that does its job without fuss. A good choice for you if you want to strengthen your hair and keep it in good condition over time, especially if your hair is treated or damaged 💆🏻♀️ #lykomission #lykoreview1 product in post Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo1015 views - The post was made 2 monthsRating: 4 out of 5verified customer
Olaplex
I've used the shampoo about 3 times, but you can really feel how clean the hair gets, not much difference so far.1 product in post Olaplex1146 views - The post was made 2 monthsRating: 4 out of 5
Incredible for bleached damaged hair!
Very good repairing shampoo for damaged and bleached hair. One of the few products that actually gives visible results. It's important to rinse thoroughly as the shampoo is very strong for the scalp. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a sensitive scalp that easily itches/flakes.1 product in post Incredible for bleached damaged hair!1035 views - The post was made 3 monthsRating: 5 out of 5verified customer
Wow!
I follow the Abbey Young method and this shampoo is part of it. I have to say Wow!! I've never experienced such a concentrated shampoo, and it works wonders for my hair. I have thick, frizzy hair that easily becomes dry and damaged. But with this shampoo, my hair becomes magical!! Love it and recommend it. 🌸1 product in post Wow!1049 views - The post was made 3 monthsRating: 5 out of 5
Olaplex shampoo
This is the best shampoo I have ever tried. I have curly hair and often struggled with the shampoo being too drying for my scalp and hair. It is very moisturizing and makes my hair very shiny.1 product in post Olaplex shampoo992 views - The post was made 3 months
Can it be used alone?
Do I have to use Olaplex No. 5 with this or can it work with the Redken All Soft conditioner I already have?1 product in post Can it be used alone?1291 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 3 monthsHey Lena! 😊 You can totally use Olaplex No.4 shampoo on its own, and it works great with the Redken All Soft conditioner you already have. Olaplex recommends following No.4 with No.5 for the best results, but it's not a must. So you're in good hands with the combination you have! Happy hair washing! 🌟1 likes

Not for me
Didn’t really work on my hair. I was recommended these products (shampoo and conditioner) but I don’t think they met my expectations. I feel like my hair became dry and lost quality. The hair gets clean but nothing more than that.1 product in post Not for me1158 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 3 monthsHey Berfin! 😊👋 Thanks for your review! ✨ So typical that it didn't quite hit the mark for your hair this time, it's really individual when it comes to hair care products! 🤍 I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you have a few favorites to fall back on! Wishing you a really nice day! 🌞
