Blur 16h Longwear 🔸️VS🔸️ Blur Even Cover

When I saw that Lumene had released a new Blur Even Cover foundation, I immediately became very interested, so I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I love their older Blur 16h longwear foundation, and it has been a big favorite for me over the last year. When I compared these two foundations, I initially thought they were quite similar, but the more I used the new one, the more I realized that they differ quite a bit! They are both very good, but in slightly different ways. I think foundation as a product is something very exciting, so this could get long 😂 Bare with me... 🔸️COVERAGE🔸️ is quite high on both foundations. Lumene rates it as 4 on a five-point scale for both, and I agree with this. Covers well, but without feeling thick or cakey! Personally, I have a lot of old acne scars and similar that I want to cover on my face, so I always use a layer of liquid foundation and then a thin layer of mineral foundation (from Swedish Tikei - it’s THE BEST) on top for a little extra coverage and longevity. I have oily skin, and I have found that this is the absolute best way for me to apply a base that lasts throughout the day. As for 🔸️THE FINISH🔸️, these foundations differ! While the older 16h Longwear uses "blur technology" and leans a bit more towards the matte side, this new Even Cover is more towards the dewy side (but without any form of glitter or shimmer). BUT both have a natural finish, just in slightly different ways. So I’m going into detail here 😂 Even Cover is also a bit more fluid in consistency and takes a bit longer to dry down. Since Even Cover is glossier in texture than 16h Longwear, I unfortunately find that 🔸️LONGEVITY🔸️ is a bit worse. It’s obvious that a more matte product will sit better on oily skin than a glossier product can do. So what I’ve noticed is that my oiliness becomes more visible faster with this new foundation Even Cover. That’s also why the older 16h Longwear stands out as the winner for me in this duel. However, I appreciate the slightly glowy finish that you get from Even Cover, looks very nice but holds worse throughout the day. I think both of these foundations are really nice. They are thin and lovely but still with high coverage, just in a natural way. Lumene has done well with these. I’m very happy to own both, and I give them both ☆☆☆☆☆, but if I can only choose one, it will be Blur 16h Longwear. This is from an oily girl’s perspective, which should be kept in mind 💛 PS! I have shade 0.5, which is supposed to be a cool shade (though I think it’s quite neutral), and it’s also the one I swatched in the pictures. It doesn’t oxidize at all (so it doesn’t darken when it dries) and I think how the color looks in real life matches quite well with Lumene’s pictures of it. DS. #lykoreview #lumene #foundation

    Shade 1.75 (N)

I’m sorry but I hate this😭 I tried everything to get this to work! With primer and without, with different moisturizers and products, and with all of them I always have the same problem: The foundation moves and doesn’t stick. At first, this foundation seemed quite good, a light coverage consistency that gives a velvety finish. Sounds good to me. I also liked this bottle, I can imagine that you can squeeze out the last drops when the time comes. The shade was darker than expected, but on the face, the color difference thankfully wasn’t as radical as in the example video. I could have definitely chosen a lighter shade. When applying the foundation, you can already notice how the base doesn’t adhere to the face but moves and brings out everything that you just covered well. Also, no other makeup product on top seemed to stay in place. Even powder didn’t seem to have any effect. All impurities/acne scars shine through, and the makeup looks messy and cheap. If a collar or something touches the face, all the makeup has wiped off that area. Also, the oiliness of the face was maximal even though this cream was supposed to control it😮 By the end of the day, the foundation had also settled into the lines and around the nose. I would be interested to hear what products others have used to make this look good because I literally ran out of options on the shelf as I really tried everything to get this to work😩 #lykoinflutester #lumene

I suggest another application, check the sponge because something is clearly wrong with this brush.

    I liked it!

I've been trying this for a few days now and really liked it. I have dry skin, so many full-coverage foundations don't work for me. However, this was a positive surprise because it didn't stick to dry patches at all and didn't start to feel tight on my skin. It stayed well until the evening and didn't move around. So I would recommend it to those with dry skin who still want a bit more coverage!🌸 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #LUMENE

Nice coverage, but requires the right skin type!

I have tried Lumene's foundation and have mixed feelings. What I really liked was the coverage; it evens out the skin tone in a very nice way without feeling cakey. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a perfect match for me as the color didn’t quite match my skin tone and the foundation itself is a bit too wet for my taste, it doesn’t really set. It didn’t sit optimally on my skin throughout the day. That said, I think this is a dream for someone with dry skin, as it feels moisturizing and creamy in texture. Plus: Very nice coverage. Minus: Hard to find the right shade, didn’t suit my texture. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #lumene

    Love it!

This foundation is really nice if you like a “soft filter” effect on the skin. Shade 3 gives a natural warm tone that suits light to medium skin well. It applies evenly and provides medium to high coverage without looking cakey. The best part is how smooth the skin looks – pores and texture actually get a bit “blurred.” It also lasts long throughout the day but can get a bit dry around drier areas if you don’t prep the skin well first. Rating: 5/6 – very nice for everyday use and long days! #lykoinflutester #influtesterreview #lykoinflutestrrreview

Such a nice blur and super light on the skin

I have combination skin, and this foundation really works great for me. It gives such a nice blur effect that evens out the skin and makes pores and unevenness much less visible. At the same time, it feels very light on the skin, almost like you're not wearing anything at all. It's easy to apply and blends nicely without becoming cakey. I also find that it stays well throughout the day and keeps the skin even and fresh for a long time. I really like the finish; it looks natural but still even and flawless. Highly recommend it to you if you want a light foundation with a blur effect and a nice finish! #lykoinflutester #lumene LUMENE

    Hard to choose a shade

Hi, I was considering this too but I don't know which shade would be good. It will be my first time using it. I've never used these before.

    Color

I've never used Lumene before, so I'm not familiar with the colors. Do you know which color I should choose when I usually use Idun Minerals Hydra Soft Foundation in the shade "Signe"?

Hi lovely Marie 💗 I will help you with this! I see that Signe is a light shade with a neutral undertone, which is also the case for shade 1.75 in the Lumene Blur Even Cover Foundation. So I recommend you try this one 😍👇 lyko.com/no/lumene/lumene-blur-even-cover-foundation-1.75-30-ml Good luck!

    Full Coverage ✨❤️

This foundation gives an even and beautiful skin tone while feeling light on the skin ✨ What I've noticed after using it: It has very good coverage but still feels light and not heavy 💖 It smooths the skin really nicely and gives a smooth “blurred” effect 😍 The finish is natural and fresh, with a nice balance between matte and glow ✨ I've actually received so many compliments since I started using it – people say my makeup looks absolutely perfect 🥹💕 I have quite a few blemishes, and this – without exaggerating – covers everything and “blurs” the skin like a filter. It hides what you don’t want to show, while the skin still looks natural 💫 #lykoinflutester #lumene #blur #foundation #loveit

    Shade

Which shade of foundation should I choose if I usually use Lumene CC 0.25 / 0.5?

Hey! If you use Lumene CC 0.5 daily, the closest equivalent in Blur will be Lumene Blur Even Cover Foundation 0.5. It is also a cool shade ☺️ However, if you more often reach for a very light shade 0.25, it’s worth considering a lighter Blur shade, 0, which is neutral. Since we are getting closer to summer – also keep in mind that your skin will be a bit darker even when using SPF ❤️

    Which shade?

Love Lumene's CC cream and use Tan and sometimes Medium. Which shade should I choose if I want to try Blur Even Cover? Best suited for slightly warmer tones.

    Which shade?

Hi, I have Light in Lumene's CC and have also used shade 1N in L'Oreal's true match foundation. Which shade could work best in this? 😊
