Ehhh
I ordered this because it was cheap. It felt like it would moisturize and make the skin sticky, just like you want. But after just one use, I got rough rashes, especially on my cheeks. My skin became red, irritated, and a lot of "dots" started to form. It wasn't noticeable in the first few hours, but after a day of having it on my face, they appeared. I stopped using it immediately, and my skin returned to normal in 2-3 days. Quite a good inspiration
I understand the inspiration from e.l.f. Cosmetics and their iconic grip in the base… but here I would subtract 4 for that inspiration. The base itself moisturizes lightly, the scent isn’t bad either, and regarding the “grip” function, I have to admit it sticks quite well and the makeup has something to hold onto. But… there’s something about it that just doesn’t sit right with me. And the worst part is that I can’t even clearly point out what it is. Everything seems okay because it moisturizes, doesn’t smell bad, is sticky as it should be, yet while using it I get this feeling: hmm, something’s off here. Maybe it’s the consistency, maybe the finish, or maybe just my personal feeling. It’s not a terrible product, but definitely not a base I’ll happily reach for every day. Have long used elf grip primer but am on the hunt for a dupe product for the Elf primer. Therefore tested this primer which is sooo extremely similar, it is sticky in texture and applies nicely without being messy. You only need 1, max 2 pumps to cover the whole face. Also have acne-prone skin that is extremely sensitive, my skin has not reacted badly at all to this product which is a miracle! So if you are looking for a cheaper variant but very similar in function, this primer is the right choice! I don't really know if I think this primer did much for me unfortunately.. You’ve probably tried a few different ones, but maybe it helps to apply a thin layer on hydrated skin and wait a bit before applying foundation. No grip at all
This product can just as well be skipped in my opinion. I did half my face with this and the other half without. Where the product was used, it feels like I'm completely dried out and it looks like I'm flaking.
