Really good gel 🧡
I'm happy to see this product line here on Lyko! 🤍 A few years ago, I used this exact facial scrub. It was very popular on a certain platform whose main idea is sharing photos 😉 I don't know if I can say it directly, but I think you know what I mean. 😂 And I have to admit, the product itself was really, really good, at least the one I used about 3-4 years ago. I really enjoyed using it. It had a nice, gel-like consistency, a pleasant scent, and it really did a good job removing dead skin. It was one of those products where I immediately felt a difference in skin smoothness. Unfortunately, I had one, but very serious problem with it. I don't know if it was because the product had been stored for a long time, or maybe because it was kept in the bathroom where the temperature can be higher. Maybe artificial light had an effect? Or maybe all of it together? 🤷🏻♀️ In any case, after some time but still before the expiration date, the gel started to become very unpleasantly sticky. And I really mean sticky to the point that it was very hard to wash off the skin. It was worst in places where I had hair – behind the ears, at the hairline, or near the eyebrows. The gel started sticking to the hairs and wouldn't let go. The result? A bit of unintentional hair removal. 😂 Unfortunately, not very fun because it could be really painful. I thought maybe I just got a faulty batch. So I bought a new package… and after a dozen uses, the situation looked exactly the same. 🥲 That's why I'm very curious if any of you have had a similar experience with this product? If so, please let me know, because to this day I don't know if it's a storage issue, a specific batch, or if the product just reacts like this over time.
