Silky smooth feeling every time
Super satisfied with the razor itself! It glides easily over the skin, removes hair quickly and easily, and leaves a really soft feeling. I also love both the design and the material that makes it feel extra luxurious! 🤩 An extra plus for coming with an extra blade in the starter kit! The only thing that brings down the rating is that the holder, which is meant to be attached to the wall to hold the razor up, doesn't hold well enough to keep the razor, which is a bit heavier than many other razors, up. The longest I've managed to keep it up is maybe 3 minutes before it fell to the floor. Not up to expectations
For me, the blades were too dull, had to go over multiple times and even then it wasn't a good result for me. A lot of "soap" around too which didn't make it any better. Bad
I've been using this for a little while now. I've really only had negative experiences with the new blades. I've gotten a lot of bumps/acne. Especially on the thighs, as they are already a bit sensitive when shaving. They are also very sharp, so it's easy to start bleeding. Okay, but no more
I’m also one of those who has fallen for the hype around Estrid, so I wanted to try it. I’ve never had problems with "razor bumps" or ingrown hairs before, but something happened when I turned 35, suddenly my skin became super sensitive - especially the bikini line, and I could no longer use disposable razors like I always had before with great results, so instead I’ve been using Gillette for men, and that’s the only thing that works for me now. But they do look a bit boring, so I bought this one to test, and the rating was - mjaaa. Totally okay, but absolutely not worth the hype. I tried it yesterday as soon as it arrived, and the bikini line was first up. The result was totally okay, not at all as silky smooth and clean-shaven as, for example, men’s razor blades give. I also got some razor bumps (despite proper prep both before and after). Today I shaved my legs and underarms, and already after the legs and bikini line, the "soap" around the blade was gone, and it didn’t glide as well on the skin anymore. So the razor head seems to handle one round of body shaving (legs, bikini line, and armpits) before it needs to be replaced, and then it suddenly becomes an expensive story. The result was unfortunately not impressive either... Estrid
The first use of this razor was really good. It is hard to clean and gets sticky. Thanks for your review 🙏 How nice that the first use felt good, but of course it's sad that it didn't work as well the second time. One tip is to rinse the razor often during use, preferably in a bit warmer water, so that shaving cream, hair, or dead skin cells don't get stuck between the blades. Estrid razor
I have been using the Estrid razor for a while now and I must say that I am really impressed. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful and sleek it is – it feels almost a little luxurious every time I use it. But the most important thing for me is that it is gentle on the skin. I have quite sensitive skin and usually easily get irritation or red spots, but with Estrid, shaving feels much softer and more pleasant. A big plus is that it is vegan and not tested on animals, which feels completely right for me as I try to make more conscious choices in my daily life. I also like that you can subscribe to new razor blades – it’s so convenient not to have to think about when it’s time to change. The handle feels sturdy and durable, and you can tell it’s made to last. I also think the price is reasonable considering the quality you get. Not as good as it once was
This razor was once a favorite that took all the hair strands while feeling safe to use even on the most sensitive areas. However, for some years now, I’ve noticed that something has happened to the quality. Now they feel more plastic and sharp, and the nice formula of the gel for the blades has become stiff and yellowish.
