  Barely visible - #708 Poem

  I was so excited to get this because I had been looking for a more neutral muted purple blush and the color looked perfect in the picture. When I saw it in real life and swatched it, the color was more gray than muted purple. It’s barely visible on the skin, the color is so weak. This must be the least pigmented blush I’ve ever tried. I have extremely pale skin (so pale that I have to mix foundation and concealer with white foundation to make it light enough), but even on me it’s barely visible on the face when I’ve tried applying it with fingers, sponge, and brush several times now. Therefore, I don’t think anyone with darker skin than me should buy this because it really won’t show on you, and since it’s very gray in tone, it will look ashy. The texture of the blush itself is why I still give it 2 stars because the texture is very nice, cream to powder, feels very smooth both as a swatch and applied on cheeks. I’m therefore curious to try one of the more colorful shades to see if they might be better than just #708 Poem.

    Hi Clara 👋😊 Thank you so much for your honest and detailed review 💜 It's great that you also tried different application methods. This shade is quite sheer and leans towards a cool, grayish purple tone, which can appear ashy especially on very fair skin. If you want to give it one last try, you can try applying it over a slightly tacky base, like cream foundation or concealer, and dab it on in thin layers. A dense brush or fingertips usually give more effect than sweeping it on. You can also apply a cream blush in a cool pink/purple tone underneath to enhance the color 🌟❤️
