Over expectation !!
At first, I was a bit skeptical when I saw the product's consistency. I thought it would be grainier than it was. The product also smells a bit special, like chicken feed, which isn't so strange considering the ingredients. The smell isn't strong and not as weird as it might sound. I'd rather have that than a strong perfume. The mask does a fantastic job of moisturizing and plumping the skin. I am usually very dry, especially after washing my face (and now that the air is starting to get dry and cold). When I rinse off this mask, I am not the least bit dry and tight (which often happens when I've used moisturizing gel masks). Love Beauty of Joseon, but
I didn't really feel like this did much... My skin felt pretty much the same as before I put it on. 🤎✨ A really cozy glow mask!
I’ve really gotten hooked on this mask from Beauty of Joseon! The first thing I like is actually the whole feeling when you use it. It has a slightly thicker and creamy texture with small particles in it, which makes it feel like a mix between a really moisturizing mask and a very gentle exfoliation. I usually apply a suitable layer on clean, dry skin and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. It’s really the kind of product I like to use when I want to turn my skincare routine into a little self-care moment. 🥰 What I like the most is the feeling afterwards. When I rinse it off, the skin feels soft, smooth, and properly moisturized, and I think the skin gets a nice and fresh glow. It’s especially that soft feeling that makes me want to come back to it. I also like that you get to gently massage when rinsing it off. The small rice particles give a light exfoliating feeling, but I really think you should be careful and not scrub hard. For me, it’s enough to be very gentle. 🤍 One small thing I noticed is that the scent is quite special. 😂 It’s not the typical sweet skincare scent I usually associate with a face mask, but it feels natural and disappears quite quickly, so personally, it doesn’t bother me much. I also really appreciate that it comes with a small spatula. It feels both hygienic and a bit luxurious every time you open the jar. ✨ And 150 ml is a lot of product! I think it feels very economical because you don’t need a super thick layer every time. This is simply a mask I like to bring out when the skin feels a bit tired and I want moisture, softness, and a little extra glow all at once. Unlike many clay masks that dry out the skin, the combination of rice water and a full 5% honey makes the face feel soft, “plumped,” and extremely hydrated immediately after use.
