Pore-clogging ingredients and cosmetic acne
Pore-clogging ingredients. I rarely react to any cosmetics, but after two uses, my scalp, neck, and back were full of painful pimples even though I washed my skin thoroughly after using conditioner. Some products, especially intensive conditioners and masks, can contain oily or pore-clogging ingredients (like shea butter, avocado and almond oils, esters) that can cause cosmetic acne or pimples if the product comes into contact with your pores. It’s good that stopping use helped immediately – this is a typical sign of a sensitivity reaction. The product is designed for curly and wavy hair, but unfortunately not all products suit all skin types, especially sensitive or easily clogged skin 💕
