Hi there Viviana! 👋 It can definitely be tricky to find the right tool 🤍 For your hair, I would recommend a ghd with slightly wider plates. If you want to be able to both curl and straighten your hair, the ghd Platinum+ is a great choice because it’s gentle and works well for both 👌 However, if you mainly want to straighten your hair quickly, the ghd Max could be a good option thanks to its wider plates. All the best!

Product Inquiry: ghd Platinum+ and ghd Gold®

Hi, I'm wondering what the difference is between ghd Platinum+ and ghd Gold® Hair Straightener Professional Styler. Can you explain what features or benefits set them apart?

Hey there🤍 Great question – both are very good straighteners, but there are some differences between them. ghd Platinum+ is the more advanced model. It has technology that continuously adjusts the heat based on how you style your hair and how thick your hair is. This can provide a more even result, more shine, and help protect your hair better during styling. ghd Gold also has very good heat distribution and heats up quickly, but uses a slightly simpler technology that keeps the temperature stable in the plates. It still delivers smooth and nice results, but without the same automatic adjustment as Platinum+. In short: Platinum+ → more advanced technology, adjusts heat based on hair and styling Gold → a very good and reliable straightener with even heat Both style hair at 185 °C, which is the temperature ghd has developed for effective styling without unnecessary wear on the hair. Have a lovely day ahead🌼

    Difference with ghd max

What is the difference between this and GHD max, besides the fact that max is larger?

Hey there!🤍 ghd Chronos is narrower and creates more defined curls/texture, while ghd Max is larger and makes it faster to style big sections and create bigger waves/volume perfect for thicker or longer hair. Temperature and technique are basically the same on both!🫧💫 Take care!🤍

Upgraded from GHD gold and this is the best flat iron I've ever tested! Hair gets soooooo smooth! Definitely worth the money.

    Using every day!

I use this every day and have only used ghd for several years now, it really doesn't damage my hair as much as many other heat tools (Should still be used with heat protection) but still gives super great results without having to go over the same area multiple times! 😌 #lykoreview

    My absolute favorite straightener!

Had my previous ghd original for 9 years and felt that I needed a new one, and it did not disappoint me at all, heats up quickly, hair becomes shiny, and the styling stays nice all day! Absolutely worth the slightly higher price!

    Good for curling?

Hi! I’m considering buying the ghd platinum+, but I’m wondering if it’s good for curling? I have fine hair that tends to get damaged easily. I mainly use a flat iron to curl with. Is the ghd platinum+ the best flat iron on the market for me, or is there another one that’s better?

Hey Hanna! Ghd Platinum+ is an excellent choice for curling fine and damaged hair. Its smart technology maintains a constant gentle temperature of 185°C, and the rounded edges make it easy to create curls without damage. One of the best options for both styling and hair health💇‍♀️💖 Take care!💖

    Gold, platinum+ or chronos?

If you have very long, thin, fine, beautiful, damaged hair that easily tangles and easily breaks, which flat iron should you get? Gold, platinum+ or chronos? I flat iron my hair 1-3 times a week. I rarely curl it. I've tried to read up on it, but what is the specific difference between these three? They are all quite expensive (especially chronos 😬), but it's probably worth it since they seem to be gentler than other flat irons?

Hey Nina! It’s not easy to navigate the jungle of heat tools! For your fragile and damaged hair, GHD Platinum+ is the best choice. It adjusts the heat according to your hair and styling style, making it extra gentle and reducing the risk of damage If you want a more affordable option, GHD Gold works well too, but it lacks the advanced protection of Platinum+. Chronos/Duet Style is more for you if you want to combine drying and styling in one tool, but it can be oversized if you’re just straightening your hair Platinum+ is perfect for you if you prioritize care and protection for your sensitive hair Good luck!
