    From acnatac to retinol?

I started with retinol but had such an acne breakout that I switched to acnatac. Can I go back to this retinol when I'm done with the acnatac treatment?

Hi Saga, it can be good to use soothing products for a while after finishing the course with acnatac. Then when your skin is completely balanced again, you can slowly reintroduce retinol, but very slowly, and I would recommend starting with a lower dose of retinol. Take care 💌

    Satisfied

This is the best retinol serum I have tried. I have also used medik8's, but it's not even close to being as effective as this. I mainly use retinol for closed comedones and anti-aging. The first mentioned is something I struggle with a lot, but with this serum, I saw improvement after just one use. If I have pimples or something similar and use this serum, the pimples are practically gone by the next morning. #lykoreview

Next step to upgrade retinol usage

I have been using COSRX The Retinol 0.5 Oil for about half a year, where I have managed to ramp up so I use it almost every evening except for some days a week where I use AHA acid. I have combination skin (oily T-zone but normal otherwise). I also have somewhat sensitive skin on my cheeks as redness can flare up. No problems with pimples etc. I would like to ramp up to a stronger retinol that isn't a bit thick/oily in consistency, but the most important thing for me is that it works on fine lines/wrinkles and that it calms my redness on my cheeks. I'm torn between this and Peter Thomas Roth retinol and this one. Which would suit me best?

Hi 😊 I would recommend this to you, but you should be careful around areas where you are more sensitive (like your cheeks) as this is very powerful. So even if you are used to retinol, I would suggest you get used to it slowly. Wishing you a nice day! 💌

    Favorite retinol

This product is very effective! Started with 0.5 before I went up to 1.0. The best I have tried. I think it absorbs well into the skin compared to the more oil-based retinols.

    Stronger?

I've been using Medik8 No. 6 for half a year now, every evening, but I don't notice any difference at all, so I would like to try something stronger, is this something for me then? Or is there something that is even more active?

Hey there Jessica! 👋 If you feel that Medik8 Retinol 6 hasn't really given you the results you wanted after six months of use, it might definitely be worth considering a stronger alternative. Dermaceutic Activ Retinol 1.0 is a more active product with a higher concentration of retinol (1.0%), which could be a good step up to see clearer results 🤩 Before switching to a stronger retinol, I recommend introducing it gradually, especially if you haven't experienced any issues with Medik8 before. Start by using it 2-3 times a week and gradually increase to let your skin adjust 🤩 Take care! 🤩🌟

    Reasonable next step?

Hi! Is this a reasonable next step after almost two years with CeraVe Resurfing Retinol Serum? Also, how do I use this together with Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum Ginseng + Retinal? Different days, at the same time?

Hey! I absolutely think you can try this now! Make sure to gradually introduce your skin to the new product to minimize irritation 💖 Use it only in the evening, start with 1 time a week and slowly increase on the days. I do not recommend using it in the same routine as the Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum Ginseng + Retinal. But it works great to use different evenings ✨ Have the best!
