The product claims to be easy to remove, which is very true as it came off after about 2 hours. The glue on the back doesn't seem to be affected by the UV lamp, so that's not too surprising. If you have short nails, there's no purpose for this product, just hard to fit to the nail.1 product in post Bad Stickers889 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. If you have reason to believe that there is something wrong with the glue on the ones you bought, please feel free to file a complaint so we can take a closer look at the issue 🙂 All the best.

Safety Information
This product is not intended for use by individuals under 16 years of age. May cause allergic reactions. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and skin. Rinse immediately with water if the product comes into contact with them. Discontinue use if redness or itching occurs. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children.
Important
NOTE! Gel iQ Gel Nail Strips are highly light-sensitive. When applying, avoid having an open package, both outdoors and in direct sunlight indoors.
Preparation
- Remove any old nail polish with an acetone-free remover that is free from oil, color, and fragrance.
- File all your nails to the same length and gently push back the cuticles if necessary.
- Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them completely.
Choose a strip for each nail
Hold your nail under the strip chart and select the size that fits each nail. Bend the sheet to easily see which size suits you best. It’s important not to choose a strip that’s too big, as it may extend beyond the nail itself.
Clean your nails
Clean your nails with the included cleansing wipes.
Apply the strips
NOTE! Avoid touching the sticky surface that will adhere to the nail.
1. Use the manicure stick to gently lift the strip at the back edge.
2. Apply the strip close to, but not on, the cuticles and press down. Start by pressing down the center of the nail and then down towards the sides to avoid air bubbles.
Seal the strips
Use the manicure stick or your fingers to press along the edges and encapsulate the nail with the strip. Trim the strip close to the tip of your natural nail.
Cure
Cure for 60 seconds under the Depend Gel iQ UV/LED lamp. (If the lamp is not set to 60 seconds, change it by holding the start button until it resets to 60 s.)
NOTE! Optimal curing is achieved by holding the lamp 10 cm above your nails. This way, you create the best flexibility and durability.
Finishing touches
Smooth the edge of the strip by filing it in line with the edge of the nail to remove sharp corners/edges. However, avoid filing on top of the strip.
Extra tips
Polishing
If you have uneven nails, you can polish them before application. Use one of Depend's nail buffers to even out the surface of your nails. Start with the coarse side and finish with the fine side for a smooth and even surface. Wipe away all nail dust with a cleansing wipe and let your nails dry completely before applying the strips.
Cleaning and peeling
Clean your nails and cuticles with a peeling treatment to optimally prepare them. Use Depend Cuticle Peeling for nails and cuticles. Massage the peeling around the cuticles and on the nails to remove dead skin cells and dirt. Wait 1 minute. Rinse thoroughly and let your nails dry completely before continuing with the application of the strips.
Top coating
Once all the strips are applied and set: Finish with a layer of Gel iQ Top Coat for longer-lasting wear.
Removing Gel iQ Gel Nail Strips
Follow the steps below carefully to gently remove the strips while preserving the quality of your own nails and cuticles.
Products to be used:
- Gel iQ Remover Oil
- Warm water (about 40 degrees)
- A bowl (about 2 liters) that can hold your entire hand. Alternatively, a sink can be used.
Here’s how to do it
Apply Remover Oil
1. Apply a generous amount of Remover Oil to the fingers of one hand, along the cuticle and over the entire nail. Massage the oil in for about 20-30 seconds on each nail.
2. Fill a bowl or sink with warm water (about 40 degrees). NOTE! The water should not be so hot that it burns.
3. Submerge your fingers in the warm water so that all fingers are covered. Wait for about 3 minutes. The warmer the water is, without burning, the better the effect.
4. After about 3 minutes, you can gently start to scrape off the strips at the growth closest to the cuticle. Use a manicure stick or your own nail. Keep your hand in the water.
5. Gently scrape and let the water seep into the joint between the nail and the strip. This way, the strip gradually dissolves, and you can remove it like a color chip. Be careful and dissolve the strip piece by piece with your fingers still in the water. Be extra cautious, especially at the tip of the nail where it is driest and can easily break. When scraping, make sure not to take any of your own nail with it. The strips are usually the hardest to remove at the tip of the nail.
6. Do a temperature check for the best effect. Since the water cools over time, the temperature should be checked to keep it around 40 degrees. It’s a good idea to replace or top up with warmer water during the removal process.
