I managed to get a tear in my nail and thought I would test the product. It was easy to apply, not too strong of a smell, and it gave a very soft result. It felt like I had applied a top coat on the nail that smoothed out sharp edges. However, no matter what I did, the product couldn't hold the nail together, even with multiple layers of application and holding for a while. I think the product works best for strengthening nails or with broken nails where the nail is thicker/the break is further down the nail. I can also see that the product works well to soften the edges if you have a little snag on the nail that risks getting caught in clothes, etc.
