Hey!
If you have a routine that looks like this:
Morning
The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Fluid
eucerin oil control spf 50+
Evening
Micellar water + The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser
Basiron AC 5% (Benzoyl Peroxide) + Differin (Adapalene 0.1%) (every other day)
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Fluid
Is it OK to add The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% as an active in the morning routine, or is it too much with actives both morning and evening?
Thanks!

Hey Simon😊
Thanks for your question✨
Azelaic Acid 10% might be able to be added to your morning routine, but since you, as you mentioned, are already using several active ingredients (salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and adapalene), it’s important to be cautious to avoid irritation.
I recommend introducing azelaic acid gradually, for example every other morning, and keeping an eye on how your skin reacts; at the slightest sign, back off and pause completely. Avoid combining it with Basiron and Differin on the same day, and make sure to moisturize properly and always use SPF.
Otherwise, it’s safer to wait with this until you’ve finished your course with Basiron and Differin so that your skin doesn’t get overloaded and has a disrupted skin barrier due to too much active at once.
Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice day🌞🍂
