This primer has SPF 30 and protects against both UVA and UVB rays, but to achieve that level of protection, you need to apply generously. As a rule of thumb, you can aim for about two finger lengths or 1/3–1/2 teaspoon for the face and neck. Smells wonderful
But doesn't moisturize particularly well. I have both this one and Mehr, and I get the impression that Rituals focuses more on scents than on body care. Sure, the cream absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves a velvety feel, which I like, but it also feels silicone-like and not very nourishing and moisturizing, as mentioned. I took this one as an emergency solution for my dry hands when I was visiting my mom once (she got a sample tube from me), and it didn't feel like I had moisturized them at all.
