    ONE product for fantastic curls

Yep, ONE product created these curls. It’s especially suitable for you with thin, fine strands that easily get weighed down. It’s feather-light, holds the curls together, gives shine and volume. We’re talking about Dream Coat for Curly Hair. Dare to try with just this product. I actually think it might be best on its own. Sometimes I pair it with a curl cream if I want to save a bit on the spray. But try at least once with ONLY spray. And do as below. This is a bit important to me when I use this product. To work with the natural curl clumps and not brush them apart. - Shampoo as usual, if you have a lot of build-up, use a detox shampoo - When you use conditioner, let the conditioner together with the water form your natural curls. You know when curl clumps form? Don’t brush them apart, just leave them. If you really want to brush, do it while the conditioner is still in your hair. But not after you rinse. - Spray PLENTY of Dream Coat for Curly Hair on wet hair. Don’t be stingy. The spray should cover the curl clumps. Squeeze the curls up a bit with your hand. - If the hair was very wet, wrap it in a microfiber turban to draw out water without disturbing the curls. - Take off the towel. Spray a little more 😈 to lock the curls properly. - Air dry! In my opinion, this spray likes air drying best. It’s light enough to hold the curls if you use a hairdryer. Air drying is pretty nice in summer and also means minimal styling effort. - The spray doesn’t create a hard layer like gels, but I still usually squeeze the curls up and shake out the roots when it’s dry for more volume. Add some light hair oil to the ends if needed, e.g. Olaplex.

    Cream bronzer magic

Have been looking for an affordable yet high-quality cream bronzer, and IDUN Minerals Bronzing Gel really does the job. šŸ¤ŒšŸ»Sun-kissed look šŸ¤ŒšŸ»Creates some contour šŸ¤ŒšŸ»Makes facial features pop šŸ¤ŒšŸ»More glowy than glittery! šŸ¤ŒšŸ» Light formula that melts into the skin I don’t wear any makeup before except a minimal amount of foundation that I apply more like a concealer. That I can apply it this smoothly is proof in itself that it’s easy to apply. I’m a beginner with cream bronzers. Apply by dabbing directly onto the face (or hand), and blend out with a brush for cream products. Before, I’ve tried my friend’s iconic softsculpt bronzing serum from Makeupby Mario. Love it, but thought it was a bit pricey and wanted to find another to try first.

    SPF for workouts šŸ’¦šŸ’ŖšŸ»šŸŒž

Anyone else come in after an outdoor workout in the sun with a sunburn that got a little too red? Sweat affects how the skin absorbs the sun. The droplets on the skin act like tiny lenses that amplify UV radiation. Not great. And water-resistant sunscreen? Not the same as sweat-proof. Sweat breaks down the filter. Washes it away. The skin is left exposed. Especially during long sessions. Apply thoroughly on the face, don’t forget exposed shoulders, arms, etc. Bring a small sunscreen. Reapply during the workout or after if you’re outside in the sun for a long time šŸŒž.

    Scandi curls are different

Applying the product in the shower is the world's best hack. The water helps distribute the product evenly, naturally forms curl clumps – and makes the product a bit lighter. Which is exactly what many Scandinavian curls need, as many of us have fine strands that easily get weighed down. And it’s SO convenient. I just wrap my hair in a microfiber towel afterwards and I’m done. Works just as well at home as in the gym shower. One thing worth knowing – when I diffuse, I almost always use a gel too. When air-drying, a curl cream with a bit of hold is enough. The curl cream from By Lyko is fantastic! It’s pretty light but has hold. And it gets wonderfully slippery and a bit gel-like when you mix it with water between your hands. My favorite curl cream at the moment!

Curl styling definition & volume ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

Really nice styling combo for you if you want definition without weighing down your hair ✨ I start with Fenty The Homecurl Curl Defining Cream, which has such an exciting consistency. When you add water and work it between your hands, it becomes much lighter, almost a bit jelly-like. It helps to gather the curls and give shape, while still keeping the hair feeling soft. Then I use Davroe Curlicue Curl Activator, which is great for light definition and frizz control. Perfect for you if you have hair that easily gets weighed down, as it is such a light formula. I finish with Davroe Curl Gel for more definition and hold. It really makes a difference - read game changer - if you want the curls to last longer and look more clearly defined.

    šŸŒžšŸŒžšŸŒž new curl gel

Tested a new curl gel from Davroe. Really nice! The formula is light, easy to distribute in the hair, and gives both definition and volume. The strength? On the ā€œgelā€ scale, I would say light to medium. What’s nice is that it’s buildable. If you use less, you get a more beachwavenlook. More; then you can get tighter curls. Sleep with a silk scarf at night so the curls last for several days 🌸

Skincare update for spring? Don't miss Mamonde K-beauty!

Have you found the K-beauty brand Mamonde yet? A big favorite here at home, as you can see šŸ˜‚. I love their products! I'm well into the second bottle/tube of both the moisture toner and the face cream. 🌸I think the face cream ā€œskin barrier intense creamā€ is the best among gentle barrier creams. I used Klairs Soothing Cream before but switched it out for Mamonde's Skin Barrier cream. I use it every day AND night! I think it feels better on the skin, absorbs REALLY well, despite being creamy, not greasy. I went through the ingredients, and Mamonde also wins on ā€œcleanest/not hormone disruptingā€. Mamonde has a thinner version of the cream (tagging it) that I might buy for high summer. Possibly this one works in the summer too, because it absorbs so nicely and doesn't clog. 🌹 If you like glow and maximum moisture, then the smaller, little pink toner, ā€œrose liquid glowā€ is incredible. 🌱The pore shrinker cream with bakuchiol and a little retinol too - gives fantastic glow! šŸŒž They also have a featherlight high SPF cream that feels cool on the skin. Is it supposed to lower the temperature of the skin even? 🧊 How nice during the summer? I would have bought a whole stock of it if it weren't for the fact that it has niacinamide in it. I can't tolerate it, but if YOU can, this is a mega-hot tip now that the sun is making its entrance! 🫧 And cleansing. I have two of theirs. I love Ceramide Amino Foam, gentle, removes everything, doesn't dry out. Same series as the barrier cream and moisture toner. I'm not completely on board with the cleansing balm, but I should add that I'm not on board with any cleansing balm or oil for that matter either. I get breakouts. But I have friends who like the cleansing balm! It has a faint wonderful mint scent… I wish my skin could tolerate it.

Morning routine for curls - sleeping with a scarf šŸ‘ø

I’m not joking when I say that the morning routine for curls can take about 60 seconds if you have a proper styling base and protect the curls while you sleep. I’ve tried everything possible; pillowcases, bonnets, scarves, high ponytails, all in silk/satin, as well as combinations. What I like best varies depending on hair length, season, energy... Regarding proper styling beforehand, I think I styled the curls with Fenty Homecurl Curl Cream + Evo Gangstagrip the day before. Slept with a scarf. Then I take a liiiittle Curl Cream, mix it with water between my hands, and smooth down a bit of frizz. A LITTLE. The hair should not feel wet. Tagging a few other products I have in the video as well. -MAMONDE is a real favorite K-beauty brand. High quality, cleaner ingredients than many other K-beauty brands, and top delivery. Their barrier cream/ceramide cream is the best I’ve tested. Better than the classic from Klair’s, I think. The one in the soft tube is a bit thicker (but not greasy!) - I have that one now, day and night. And the one in the hard round packaging is thinner - I’ll buy that one for summer. They have almost the same ingredients. - Torriden Dive In Skin Booster. Also a new brand for me, but I love their toner! Lots of moisture, rich without stickiness, everything sinks in, feels strengthening but gentle. Clean ingredients. Almost out and I will buy again. - Make Up Store eyeshadow stick longwear Luxe. If you haven’t tried it, do it now. Creamy upon application, it stays like a rock once it’s had some time to set. Thanks to this, I can do smoky eyes that last all day. I alternate this with eyeliner and a little shadow. - Fenty Cream Blush Cheeks Out 02 Petal Poppin. Have I ever received so many compliments for a blush before? Incredible color! You get rosy without being pink. Neither light nor dark, perfectly balanced. Right now, I like the silk scarf the best. Maybe a video on how I tie it would be something?

    Lightweight curl routine ✨ 2 products ✨

Do you have curls like me that are easily weighed down by too heavy products? Here comes a quick overview of the routine in the video for those of you who want to save on steps and products. 1. Detangling mist (F-Layer) I spray it all over my hair and detangle with a wide-tooth comb. It helps the curl clumps form right away and is lightweight, moisturizing, and has both heat and UV protection. I sometimes use it on my daughter too because it’s so smooth. 2. Gel (Evo Gangsta Grip Bonding Resin) Apply this lightweight gel with Praying hands + scrunch up. It’s easy to get even, gives strong hold, and yes, it will dry "stiff" but you scrunch that out later. Blow a little warm air while, it helps. Also, some light oil you’ve rubbed between your palms. The gel reactivates with water, making it easy to refresh. 3. Microfiber towel I scrunch out some water to avoid weighing the curls down. It also speeds up the drying time. 4. Diffuser Blow dry until the cast has set (the stiff part) and then scrunch out the stiffness. Finish by fluffing up the roots a bit. For the nerds: ingredient quickie šŸ’š Gangsta Grip: VP/VA + metacrylate copolymer = shape, volume, less frizz. AMP-acrylates = shine without stickiness. F-Layer: Lipids that strengthen the hair strand, heat protection up to 232°, UV protection, weightless moisture.
