Highlighter of the Year, or?! 😍
I have been so lucky to receive NARS's Light Reflecting Luminizer in the shade “Electra” as #lykoinflutester. My name is Kristine, I am 35 years old and love everything related to beauty and makeup. Over many years, I have tested an incredible number of products from different brands. But I have still not tested a highlighter from NARS. So I was incredibly excited about this one. I am quite picky about highlighters and rarely find one that I like so much that I want to include it in my daily makeup routine 😅 The consistency of this highlighter is soft and almost a bit creamy. It is not powdery at all! Something I am very happy about, because then I know it will look natural when applied 👏🏻 The packaging is simple and cute, but I actually wish it came in black packaging like the rest of the NARS products (but maybe that’s just my OCD talking 😂). Super nice that there’s a mirror too! I apply this with a slightly large brush on the cheekbones, to avoid getting a stripe of highlighter à la 2016 makeup trend 😘 And, oh my god, how pretty this is!! It is not glittery at all (something I absolutely do not like in a highlighter), but it makes your skin look almost dewy, or like you have a naturally glowing skin 🥹 It really is a unique formula that gives a completely insane glass finish to the skin. I also apply it on the brow bone, the bridge of the nose, the inner corner of the eye, and the cupid's bow, in addition to the cheekbones - for an extra glowing base ✨ And I must say that I really love this highlighter so much. And that is not often I say about a… highlighter! 😳 It is so pretty that I can easily use this in my everyday routine as well, as you can build it up for an even more intense and glowing finish. But it also gives a perfectly natural, glass-like glow for everyday use. So all in all - if you are on the hunt for a highlighter this year - or for Christmas - THIS is the one 🙌🏼 It has been a long time since I have been so impressed with a highlighter. I have been so lucky to receive NARS's Multiple in Orgasm Crave as #lykoinflutester. My name is Kristine, I am 35 years old and love everything related to beauty and makeup. Over many years, I have tested an incredible number of products from different brands. I have tested NARS's blush sticks before - which I liked very much. But I haven't tested this new Multiple stick that is meant for both cheeks, eyes, and lips, so I was incredibly excited about this 😍 The consistency of this is incredibly fascinating. It is soft and creamy, but as soon as you get it on the skin, it becomes like a powder, which I love. I am not a fan of blush sticks that leave my cheeks sticky, which this absolutely does not do. I pick up the product with a slightly dense and soft makeup brush directly from the stick and apply it to my cheeks - for maximum control (and at the risk of ruining my base if I drag the stick over my cheeks) 😅 Something that worked perfectly! 🩷 The color “Orgasm Crave” is a lovely pink/peach color with pearls of gold. Absolutely a color I would have chosen myself in this stick, as this is a color that suits me well. The formula is super easy to build up to a slightly more intense blush color on the cheeks, and blends like a dream. And even though it dries down to a powder form, the pearl shimmer in the stick really brings out a lovely and natural glow ✨ For application on the eyes, I just use my finger - so simple! Blended just as well with my finger as with a brush. And it seriously took me 5 seconds to get it looking nice 👁️ On the lips, I applied it like a regular lipstick, and oh my god what a lovely color to have on the lips! It can feel a bit dry if you apply a lot, or several layers. But incredibly nice and pleasant if you just apply a little and top with a gloss 👄 I really love that you have so many options with this stick. The whole makeup turned out so well when both cheeks, eyes, and lips matched 🩷 And I can feel that this is going to be a product I will reach for a lot in the future. I have been so lucky to receive NARS' Soft Matte Complete Concealer as #lykoinflutester. My name is Kristine, I am 35 years old and I love everything related to beauty and makeup. Over many years, I have tested an incredible number of products from different brands. And guess how happy I was when I saw that I would be testing this concealer from NARS this month! It is indeed a concealer I have had in my collection for many years - BUT I have only had it in the lightest shade “Chantilly”. Something that has been a bit silly on the days I have self-tanner (which is quite often!) This is indeed the BEST “spot-concealer” that exists on the market in my eyes 🥹👏🏻 I always spot-conceal right after skincare and before foundation. I take a small amount of concealer on a small precise makeup brush and apply it to pimples and blemishes on my face that are not covered by all types of foundation. Then I blend it out with my finger for an even application. When I put on foundation, no redness or color shows through! ❤️ The consistency of this is on the thicker side and provides full coverage. Therefore, I think it is best suited for spot-concealing. But if you warm it up between your fingers, it becomes a bit thinner and easier to work with - so you can also apply it under the eyes. But not much, a thin layer - otherwise, there will be a lot of creasing. But I personally prefer to use the liquid concealer from NARS (Radiant Creamy Concealer) under the eyes ☺️ It sits nicely both under and on top of all types of foundations I have tested. In the video, I use the concealer together with NARS' Light Reflecting Foundation - which is a big favorite here. It does not feel thick or heavy on the skin. And I really love the result this concealer gives. I also really like that it contains ingredients like Vitamin A, C, and E and hyaluronic acid and peptides that nourish the skin, especially since I usually apply it on blemishes 💦 Really a concealer that everyone struggling with pigmentation, redness, and blemishes should have in their collection. One of the best sunscreens on the market 🩷
I have been so lucky to receive Beauty of Joseon's Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF50 which #lykoinflutester ✨ My name is Kristine, I am 35 years old and love everything related to skincare, especially Korean skincare. Not a day goes by without my morning and evening routine, and I use SPF every day. My skin is normal to dry, and sensitive at times - especially when I use products with a lot of fragrance 🥹 I have tested products from Beauty of Joseon before, and this sunscreen has been one of my favorites for several years - so I was so happy when I saw that I would get to make a review of this 🩷 The packaging is perfectly fine, I like that it is in a tube but I wish the cream itself came out of a narrower and longer opening to squeeze out the product more easily without making a mess. But absolutely nothing that detracts from the product. Good that it comes in a tube, so it’s easy to cut it in half when it starts to run low. The consistency is like a thin day cream, and it actually smells like nothing 😊 The sunscreen is described as a creamy yet lightweight sunscreen with rice extract for moisture, and fermented grains that enhance the effect of the rice extract by soothing and calming the skin. It should not be sticky and provide glowing and hydrated skin. The rice extract is rich in vitamins B, C, and E, as well as amino acids and minerals that help hydrate and provide antioxidants to the skin - thus protecting against free radicals, which in turn helps prevent aging, maintain skin elasticity, and strengthen the skin barrier 👏🏻 I always prefer 2 finger lengths of sunscreen for the entire face and neck. And even though it may seem like a lot of cream - the cream really melts into the skin and leaves no white cast. It is not sticky after application and feels more like a regular lightweight moisturizer that absorbs quickly into the skin. The skin feels hydrated and protected, and has a fantastic glow after application. So I love using this on no-makeup days too 💦 My sensitive skin has never reacted to this. But I am always careful when applying around the eyes, as this is a chemical sunscreen, which can sting the eyes if you get too close to them. Additionally, it is absolutely lovely under makeup, providing the perfect base for a hydrated foundation for flawless skin makeup. No pilling or cakey spots! Something that is the most important for me when it comes to a sunscreen 👏🏻 When I use this, I skip day cream, as this works just as well as a day cream BUT has SPF 50+ and PA++++ as well 🩷 Absolutely a 10/10 sunscreen in my eyes, and I understand 100% why so many love this 😍 But if you have combination skin, I might suggest going for Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua-Fresh: Rice + B5 (SPF50+ PA++++), which has a slightly matte finish 🥰 #beautyofjoseon1 product in post One of the best sunscreens on the market 🩷 - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The best Christmas gift set of the year?
I have been so lucky to receive Sensai's Make-up Bestsellers Limited Set which #lykoinflutester ✨ My name is Kristine, I am 35 years old and love everything related to beauty and makeup. Over many years, I have tested an incredible number of products from different brands. And you can believe that I have tested both of these two products from Sensai before, and I understand well why this set is called “Make-up Bestsellers,” because these are probably the 2 products from Sensai that I have liked the most over the years 🥰 ▪️Sensai Translucent Loose Powder is a transparent and super lightweight setting powder that sets makeup without looking dry or cakey. It contains light-reflecting particles that make the skin matte without looking lifeless and dry. And it does not emphasize fine lines or texture. The skin looks like a filter after application. When I apply the powder, I always go over with a small fluffy brush with powder under the eyes before I go in with the powder puff. This is to get the “wet” makeup I already have under my eyes to be a little less wet so that I do not lift the makeup or make it cakey when I apply powder with the powder puff. Also, always work the powder well into the powder puff in your hand to distribute the powder evenly over the puff and for an even distribution of powder where you need it. This is a setting powder I have used on and off for many years, and it is still one of my favorites to this day. Very nice with this small size you get in this set, which is perfect to have in your bag or when you are traveling. BUT I think it could be a little bigger. The original contains 20g of powder, and this contains only 3.5g. Between 7-10g would have been perfect considering the price of the set. ▪️Sensai Lash Volumiser 38°C is a mascara that is supposed to give volume, last all day, and the best part - it removes so easily with warm water (hence the name, 38°C). I love the brush on this mascara, as it really grabs every single lash from root to tip. It gives good volume after 2 coats, but I also like that it gives good length to the lashes at the same time. It could probably be a little better at separating the lashes, but again, this is a volumizing mascara, the brush is not designed to separate as well as it gives volume. But it holds the curl of my lashes all day, stays well all day without flaking or smudging under the eyes. Perfect travel size to have in your bag or when traveling. I also love how easily it rolls off the lashes when I take a warm shower. I don’t need to rub or work hard to remove it 👏🏻 All in all, I think this set is perfect to give to someone you love for Christmas, or for yourself, as it contains Sensai's two bestsellers that are favorites among many - myself included. A completely lovely scent, but..
I have been so lucky to receive the YSL Libre EDP perfume as #lykoinflutester to create a review of it✨ My name is Kristine, I am 35 years old and have a great love for perfumes. My personal preferences in perfume are sweet gourmand scents 🍦🧁🍮 I am also very fond of scents with musk in the base. First of all, YSL Libre is a classic! This is a scent that is loved by many ✨ But not a scent I have tested or evaluated myself actually, as I have had the impression that it is very strong. So I was incredibly excited to test it myself now 🥰 The first impression of the bottle is that it is luxurious and elegant. I love the details with gold and black and the nice logo is like a piece of jewelry on the bottle 🖤 Big plus for sustainability, as you can buy refills to fill the bottle yourself. Cheaper when you run out, and better for the environment. With the first spray on the skin, I immediately notice that this is a very concentrated, dominating, and strong scent. The first notes I smell are absolutely fresh orange, mixed with soft lavender and fruity blackcurrants. When it has dried down on the skin, the warm notes of vanilla and musk come forward, with a hint of woody notes. I really love the combination of scent notes in this 😍 Very unique compositions. This is 100% a sexy, feminine, empowering, and sophisticated scent. I would say it is a perfect warm and sweet autumn/winter scent, and especially an evening scent as it is very full-bodied 🍁 But… even though I love the scent, this probably won't become a personal favorite of mine. The only factor for why I won't be able to use this so often is simply that I find it too strong 🥺 Even though I have only sprayed one spray of this, I smell it so strongly all day (and night if I don't shower before I go to bed), and it almost gives me a bit of a headache. The scent is lovely, but veeery intense when the sense of smell can't get used to the scent like it does with my favorite perfumes (so that I don't smell my own perfume). But for those who can handle it, or have noses that get used to their own perfume easier than I do and are not very sensitive to intense perfumes - this is truly a treasure of a perfume! It lasts a long time on the skin, you absolutely don't need more than one spray and it smells amazing! ❤️ ..just a little too dominating for me right now. BUT I will follow a tip I read about this perfume online. I will let it sit on the shelf for a while and let the ingredients in the perfume blend and develop a bit more over time. Then it will obviously become less sharp and the scent will become softer. So I am very excited to see what I think of this in a couple of months, or even in a year 😍 All in all, a perfume classic that suits so many age groups and personalities. New favorite brush for bronzer 🤎
I have been so lucky to receive Rebecca Stella's new Cream Bronzer Brush which #lykoinflutester. First impression of the packaging and feel of the brush is that this is a quality brush! It’s metal and feels heavy in the hand. I also really like the color 🩷 This is a duo-fiber, stippling brush with bristles of different lengths and densities. Which makes it easy to pick up the right amount of product and blend the product seamlessly. The brush is super soft and the size is also just perfect for bronzer, making it easy to control where I want to place the product without getting too much bronzer on my face 🥰 Absolutely my favorite brush to use with Rebecca Stella, Melted Butta Bronzer. I have tested the bronzer with other brushes, but I like using this brush for the bronzer 100% best 👏🏻 I prefer to stipple the product on my face, so not to drag the brush but to push the product onto my face with light stippling motions. This is to not lift the foundation/concealer while I apply bronzer. All in all a 10/10 brush, especially for the bronzer in the same series. I haven’t tested the brush on other products than the bronzer from Rebecca Stella. But I can imagine it would be great for blush as well. But for now, I have nothing negative to say about it, and I have used it every day since I first tested it. Completely unique mousse bronzer 🤎
I have been so lucky to receive Rebecca Stella's new Melted Butta Bronzer which #lykoinflutester 🤎 My first impression of the packaging was that it was quite small, but the jar itself was beautiful and looks very «extra» with the mirror lid. And now that I have used the bronzer for a few days, I understand that it is absolutely the perfect size - as the product is very economical in use and you need incredibly little product for the whole face. The formula is unlike any other cream bronzer I have tested. It looks and feels like a mousse, so fluffy and creamy. The product also has no scent. I chose the color «Caramel», which is the lightest shade, as I am quite fair-skinned and prefer a light bronzer. And the color was absolutely perfect for me. I would say my undertone is neutral to pink. So I don't like overly warm/yellow bronzers. I don't think «Caramel» is. Maybe also because the formula sits so nicely on the skin and blends incredibly easily ☺️ For application, I used the «Cream Bronzer brush» from Rebecca Stella that I received along with the bronzer. And it has made the application and blending of the bronzer a dream. Since the formula is incredibly creamy and VERY pigmented, I prefer to dip my brush into the bronzer and work the product well into the brush in my hand. This is to remove excess product and to distribute the product well in the brush for an even and not too harsh application. If I have gotten too much product on my face, I have used my foundation brush to blend harsh edges and nice transitions. I can also add that I have only used this bronzer OVER powder, and it does not lift or ruin my base underneath as the formula is so light and velvety smooth 🤎 This must be one of the lightest and prettiest cream bronzers I have tested (and I have tested quite a few different bronzers this year) 😍 I have liked it so much that I have reached for it and used it every single day since I filmed this first-impression video. And that says a lot about how much I like it - as I have quite a few bronzers in my collection 👏🏻 The bronzer literally melts into the skin and dries down to a semi-matte, natural finish. And absolutely gives a blurring effect on the skin. And is my favorite step in my makeup routine to bring a little life back to my face 🤎 I have nothing bad to say about this bronzer. LOVE EMS, but not in this..
I was so lucky to receive this LED face mask from Silk’n to test it out as #LYKOINFLUTESTER 🤍 I am 34 years old, have normal to dry skin. Naturally pale and get freckles easily, but rarely sun my face (to avoid wrinkles) so my freckles look more like uneven skin. Can be a bit sensitive at times, especially if products contain a lot of perfume. I have some smile lines around my eyes, and a small one by my mouth. And get some hormonal pimples/bumps now and then. But otherwise no major challenges with my skin. But I am generally very focused on taking care of my skin, especially on my face so that I can avoid problems as 🥹😇 If there’s something I am VERY interested in, it’s facial tools that can do treatments that you would normally have to spend thousands on in a salon each month - at home! In the last few years, I have used several different EMS tools, so I was very, very happy when I received this LED mask in the mail to test out for 2 months 😍👏🏻 💡 4 DIFFERENT MODES: ▪️MODE 1: Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, lifting effect by energizing the facial muscles. ▪️ MODE 2: Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation (both deep and surface), redness, and uneven skin tone. ▪️ MODE 3: Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, deep pigmentation spots, and redness. ▪️ MODE 4: Precise and targeted treatment of acne-related redness and inflammation of the skin. ➕ EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) Level 1-8. I have now used the mask almost every single day for 2 months. I use it on completely clean and dry skin, but I like to spray a hypochlorous acid spray over the skin to disinfect it before use. I have mostly used Mode 1 and 4, along with EMS 1-3 times a week at level 8. Note: My skin is well accustomed to EMS from before, so I started directly at level 8. Normally, you start low at first and work your way up each week. The mask is soft and comfortable to wear, and easy to clean. But I think the Velcro straps are useless, especially the bottom one. I don’t quite understand why it isn’t like the top one?! I think the mask itself fits my face nicely, but it feels a bit heavy on the face, almost like it pulls the skin down a bit when you have it on - which is almost a bit counterproductive 😳 ⚡️EMS function: Basically, I love electrical muscle stimulation, and have used it a lot in the last few years with good effect. But with devices that you self-treat in the face - where you need it the most. So I was very excited to be able to do EMS hands-free, without having to hold a device to do it and at the same time be able to do other things while the face works. Meeeen, I don’t think this EMS function will replace my regular companion from Medicube. The EMS points in the mask are not evenly placed on each side of the face (because no one is perfectly symmetrical!) especially around the eyes. Which means that I have to sit and hold the mask straight to get even treatment around the eyes - even though it’s hands-free.. Additionally, there are large areas in the mask that do not have LED light, because the EMS points take up large parts of the mask. Something I think is a bit silly, as parts of the face do not get light on them. I also think the marks you get on your face from the EMS points are a noticeable disadvantage of the mask. Especially if I use it in the morning and have to go out right after - then my face is full of marks from the mask. Even though I haven’t used the EMS function. The EMS points also mean that the mask doesn’t sit completely snug against the face, which makes it very humid and clammy inside the mask after just a few minutes, as the air you breathe out comes into the mask due to the narrow hole for the mouth. The conclusion is that the concept is nice, but I think I would have preferred an LED mask without EMS over this one. After these 2 months, I can’t really see a very big difference in my skin. I haven’t used my Medicube or other strong acids for 2 months now, just this LED mask. And I think my face looks a bit more “puffy”, as I haven’t been able to use my usual EMS tool that you can also use on the neck and jaw. Something this mask doesn’t do. My few, fine lines are actually just the same as they were before. Didn’t have much pigmentation to begin with, so I see no difference there either. BUT my skin looks more even and doesn’t look as dull at the moment. And it seems like my skin is tighter, as my pores have become less visible. So I would believe this does a good job for the skin, which I otherwise wouldn’t have gotten without this. ❤️ Easy to use/understand ❤️ Good battery life ❤️ It has a timer and turns off after 10 minutes ❤️ No downtime/sore skin after use ❤️ Perfect to take on trips ❤️ Made my skin more even and glowy in 2 months ❤️ Convenient to use while doing housework/cooking. 👎🏻 I wish the blue LED light was in the mask, not on the remote. I want to use it hands-free. 👎🏻 I wish it didn’t have EMS. 👎🏻 The Velcro is not good 👎🏻 Feels heavy on the face 👎🏻 The marks it leaves on the face after use 👎🏻 Not much difference in my fine lines after 2 months I will continue to use it going forward, but only the LED lights. So I will continue with my Medicube for EMS. And continue to wish for an LED mask with only LED lights. Because I love the lovely spa feeling of being able to do such treatments at home, especially while I can do other things at the same time - or just lie on the couch and relax. And my skin has absolutely not gotten worse, so I absolutely believe this can help prevent future lines, pigmentation, and signs of aging if I just keep using it. I definitely wouldn’t want to be without it in my skincare routine. And I am very excited to see if I will see results after 2 more months! I don’t give 3 stars because the mask is bad, because it is absolutely not bad! The comment was made 2 monthsHey hey 👋 The Silk’n LED EMS Face Mask usually works well for sensitive skin too, as long as it’s used correctly 🥰 The mask uses LED light that is supposed to soothe the skin, even out the skin tone, and give more glow. It has a special “sensitive mode” with milder light that reduces redness and irritation. The EMS part sends small electrical impulses that make the facial muscles contract slightly – it might tingle a bit, but it shouldn’t hurt. Always start on the lowest setting, and only increase when the skin can handle it. Avoid use if the skin is red, sore, sunburned, or right after treatments like peels, laser, or microneedling. Feel free to use a soothing serum or moisturizer afterwards. In short: it’s suitable for sensitive skin, but should be used gently and with a bit of patience at first 🙌 Wishing you a nice day ahead 💓1 likes
