Question about perfume
Hi, I’ve been thinking about starting to use retinol in my routine. I’ve been advised that this one from La Roche-Posay could be a good serum to start with. I use other products from the brand like the Cicaplast cream and the Cicaplast B5 serum and have good experiences. But now when I was thinking about ordering it and looking at the ingredient list, I understand it to contain perfume? Isn’t that very strange, I didn’t think any of their products contained perfume. I’m a bit worried that it will affect my sensitive skin. I wonder if there’s any reason for this or if I’ve misunderstood something.1 product in post Question about perfume119 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 1 weekHi Jessica😊 I absolutely understand your concern, LRP's products are dermatologically tested and developed for sensitive skin. Unfortunately, not all of their products are fragrance-free, and you have perceived it completely right – the Retinol B3 Serum contains fragrance according to the ingredient list. It is therefore not for the skin's function or effect, but more because the manufacturer feels that the product should feel "fresh and appealing" for those who appreciate it when using it. The scent is mild, but for sensitive or reactive skin, fragrance can still increase the risk of irritation. If you want to be extra cautious, I recommend a patch test or choosing a completely fragrance-free retinol product. My advice is to stick to a completely fragrance-free product in the first place. Here comes another suggestion for a retinol serum completely without fragrance: lyko.com/sv/cerave/cerave-resurfacing-retinol-serum-30-ml which is also a nice beginner serum. Always wait in cautiously 1-2 evenings a week and don't forget sun protection during the day. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice Friday💫
