It’s moisturizing and feels very thick or rich, maybe that’s a better word.. and luxurious in texture. Overnight hair mask?
I have used the previous version 1-2 days a month as an overnight mask. Can I do the same with this one? Why should I shampoo after and not before? As I’ve learned, shampoo opens the hair strand, then you apply the mask, and when rinsing, finish with conditioner to close the hair strand again? The comment was made 2 weeksHi Jess! 👋🏼😊 I totally understand how you think 🤍 Both water and shampoo affect the hair’s cuticle – water actually causes the hair strand, the cuticle, to open slightly, while shampoo cleans the hair and removes oils and any buildup from the hair’s surface. The great thing about Olaplex No.3 is that it’s a bit different from a regular hair mask. It’s a repairing treatment that works on the hair’s bonds, and therefore you want it to have the best possible conditions to work in the hair. If you have hair without much styling product or buildup, it’s enough to dampen the hair with water, apply No.3, then rinse out, shampoo, and finish with conditioner. However, if you use a lot of styling products, it’s good to shampoo first so the hair is properly clean before applying the treatment 😊 Regarding using it as an overnight mask, I totally understand why you think that way; many want to give their hair extra long time with a nourishing product. However, No.3 is designed to work for about 3–10 minutes, and a longer treatment time does not give a stronger repairing effect. Hope this gave a bit more clarity on how No.3 works compared to a traditional hair mask 🤍

Lovely consistency
Walked past this in the store and couldn't resist buying it. The product and packaging appealed to me. The product has a lovely consistency, kind of like a hybrid between a lip mask and lip oil, I would say. Expected a sweet scent but was a bit disappointed that it was fragrance-free, but actually I think scents don't belong on the face so I'm still positive about that. I had high expectations for this but unfortunately it’s not for me. Such a good first step cleanser
When I recommend an oil cleanser, I recommend this one. It’s super good at removing makeup, and it’s gentle on my skin. I feel hydrated and clean after use. I have very dry and sensitive skin and have gone through probably 10 of these. I attended an event at LYKO where Minna Salander held a masterclass with By Lyko's new releases, and I got so tempted by these blushes and have been looking for a slightly cooler pink blush. I had planned to buy new shampoo and conditioner since the entire Water Clouds brand was on sale, and I have previously tried both the repair series and the moist series and loved both. Now I was interested in the Bonding series, but when I was in a physical store, I wanted to smell the products and this one stood out. When I read about it, I thought it would suit both my hair and my daughter's hair. I've used it twice now and am very satisfied! It moisturizes and calms my frizzy, thin hair quite well without weighing it down. Incredible!
I got one of the last ones in the store I visited and was a bit disappointed that only Peach Please and the very lightest shade were left. Since I’m more of a pink girl. But I was pleasantly surprised by this, I must say. I use it more as a blush topper and then I take a more pink shade underneath and top it with this. Want more colors when they come in!
