An irresistible product I will add to my hair care routine!
My hair is basically quite dry and frizzy, so I’m used to having to work quite a bit to get both shine and smoothness. That’s why I was VERY impressed when I started seeing a clear difference after just a couple of weeks using the Gloss Absolu series. The most noticeable thing is the shine; the hair has gained a completely new gloss that really enhances the overall impression in my opinion. It not only looks healthier but also has a deeper, more vibrant tone and a kind of natural “glow” that I perhaps haven’t really experienced before with my hair. Beyond that, the hair feels much softer, more moisturized, and significantly less frizzy than before, even though my frizz hasn’t disappeared completely, but I didn’t expect that either. My personal favorite in the Kérastase Absolu series is definitely both the Masque Crème Hydra-Glaze and the Frizz-Glaze Cream. The shampoo is certainly a good addition to the series, but it’s not the product I feel delivers the best results. The two aforementioned products really deliver results “in a league of their own.” You only need a small amount of the product, which is a big plus, especially for me who has both thick and quite long hair. I easily feel that products I usually use tend to “disappear” in my hair, but not with these products! The hair becomes incredibly soft, it’s easy to detangle, and you get a smooth feeling without the hair becoming or feeling too heavy or greasy. My curls/my wavy hair also feel more defined and soft, without that stiff feeling some styling products can give. Here it feels more like the hair is getting help to be its best self, rather than being “fixed” with a bunch of different products to be saved. The scent of this particular product is quite strong, while at the same time feeling luxurious. This can be seen as a downside, but the scent fades quite quickly and after about half a day I still find it significantly more subtle, which makes it work in the long run. In summary, this is a series that has really made a difference for my hair in a relatively short time. The combination of increased shine, softness, and reduced frizz makes the overall impression feel both fresher and more well-groomed. Despite the somewhat intense scent, these are definitely products I will continue to use and that I think are worth their price, even if it can be felt in the wallet, especially for me as a student at the moment. From Skepticism to Wow Effect with This Hair Mask!
Initially, I was very skeptical about this hair mask, maybe because many hair masks promise the same results (but without success), but mainly because the Kérastase Absolu series almost sounds too good to be true and promises a result you can only dream of. SPOILER (!!): I can say that I was actually wrong! Already after the first wash and styling, I felt that my hair actually immediately felt softer, more and more moisturized, and that the hair actually got a clear shine that really looked healthy, not just a result of quickly throwing in some oil to save dry (and unfortunately split) ends.. It also became noticeably more manageable and easy to handle my hair, without feeling heavy or in any way weighed down, which otherwise easily happens with more moisturizing products in my opinion. Another thing I appreciated was how quickly the result was noticeable. It didn’t feel like a series where you have to “work in” the effect over several weeks, but rather like the hair got a direct refreshment right from the start, which I REALLY appreciate a lot. At the same time, it’s of course important to keep in mind that the experience can vary; hair type, previous damage, and needs play a big role, and what works perfectly for one person doesn’t have to be a universal solution for everyone. Regarding frizz, I experienced that the hair became significantly more controlled and “gathered” immediately after use, with a smoother finish and less flyaways. It’s maybe not a miracle cure that eliminates all frizz forever, but it definitely gives a noticeable improvement, especially in combination with the right styling. It should be said, however, that the frizz absolutely doesn’t suddenly disappear, but I still think it’s more controllable and doesn’t stick out in all directions. So, if you, like me, are a bit suspicious of products that promise a lot but at the same time struggle with frizz or dry, lifeless hair, then see this as a little push in the right direction to actually give this series an honest chance. It’s a hair mask that definitely feels a bit more in the wallet, but at the same time, it’s a valuable investment for your hair. I have very thick and (so far) long hair, and I find this mask quite economical. In my case, it went from skeptical raised eyebrows to a pretty convinced overall experience, and I will definitely continue to use this hair mask going forward. A shampoo that delivers a silky smooth result with minor compromises!
Overall, this shampoo leaves a very positive impression. It cleans the hair effectively without weighing it down, while leaving the lengths feeling moisturized, light, and manageable. In combination with the mask from the same series, I would still say I notice a slight difference; the hair becomes extra soft, gains a nice shine, and is significantly easier to detangle from any knots. The result also lasts for several days, making the hair feel fresh and healthy even between washes. The scent itself is another strength. It is lightly floral and balanced, clear enough to give a fresh feeling without being overwhelming. For those who, like me, appreciate products with a pleasant scent, this is definitely a plus. At the same time, there are some nuances to consider. Although the lengths feel moisturized, I find that the scalp can become somewhat drier with regular use. Additionally, the effect on frizz is somewhat limited. Immediately after washing, the hair is very smooth and feels nice, but after a day or so, the frizz tends to gradually return. For the price range and what the product promises, I might expect a bit more.. In summary, it is a well-performing shampoo that gives a nice, soft, and shiny result, especially in the lengths. New favorite in the makeup bag
I am truly impressed with this lip pencil/lipstain. Already at the first application, you can tell how pigmented it is, the color is intense and covers evenly with just one swipe. Sometimes I put two swipes on my lip line to get a more "sharp contour", but that is entirely a matter of taste. The formula is soft and creamy without being too soft, which makes it very easy to apply with precision. It was truly love at first sight with this product, and I currently have two different colors in my makeup bag and am waiting for an order here in the coming days with a third color! I have tested several different lipstains, and this is truly a product that delivers on its promises, as the longevity of this product plays in a league of its own. It stays in place all day without disappearing and/or crumbling and becoming uneven. I eat and drink several times a day, and the color still remains. This is truly something I appreciate immensely, you avoid those constant touch-ups and don’t have to worry about the products on your lips smudging after lunch with colleagues or friends. It is perfect to use both for everyday and for other occasions when you really want your makeup to hold. I was the toastmaster at a wedding about a month ago, I had this product on my lips and despite a lot of talking constantly from my side and full swing with reception and party afterwards (between 11:30 - 07:00 the next day) my lips looked completely flawless. The product also feels very comfortable on my lips and absolutely does not have a drying formula, which is usually a problem with products that promise long-lasting wear. Considering the quality and the result, it is also very reasonably priced. I have not experienced it drying out quickly or that it flakes off during the day as some previous reviews here suggest. I rather have the problem that I can hardly get the product off when I remove my makeup in the evening, but maybe that’s because I sometimes put on two layers of it? Anyway, to summarize, this is a product that delivers on all points, pigment, application, longevity, and price - yes, you name it!! I love it! And for 149 kronor (regular price)?? This night serum from Kérastase is undoubtedly one of the most impressive hair products I have tested. I previously tested this serum for a period and already experienced then that it was a serum that played in its own league. Already after the first use, a noticeable difference was evident, and now, with regular application over four weeks, I feel that my hair has gradually become both healthier and more well-groomed. The consistency of this serum is very light and silky, making it super easy for you to distribute the serum in the lengths before bedtime. The serum absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy or sticky feeling on either hair or pillow. The morning after you have applied the serum, I find that my hair feels noticeably softer, is more manageable, and has a beautiful, healthy shine. Frizz is reduced, and the hair feels stronger and more hydrated. It is truly “8 hour magic night”! The formula contains, among other things, plant proteins and niacinamide, ingredients that help to moisturize and strengthen the hair overnight. The result is hair that not only looks healthier but also feels significantly stronger and more resilient. A balancing serum that gives a calmer scalp
I have a scalp that easily gets out of balance and can quickly feel oily, which makes me careful about which products I use to not "weigh down my hair". After testing the serum from K rastase for four weeks, I notice a noticeable difference, I actually feel that my scalp feels calmer and more balanced than usual. One of the first things I noticed was the packaging, which feels both well thought out and luxurious, which is a very good first impression. The applicator on the serum (the pipette I would say) works well and makes it easy to apply the serum directly to the scalp without mess. This allows the product to be smoothly integrated into the daily hair care routine, which I usually carry out in the evening as I try to have as few products as possible during the day so that my hair doesn't get so oily.. The scent is pleasant and gives a fresh feeling without taking over. A big plus is that the hair doesn't get oily after use, something that can easily happen with scalp products. Instead, the hair feels light and fresh, while the scalp feels more harmonious. This serum from Kérastase I've used for a total of four weeks and followed the instructions carefully to give the product a fair chance. Despite that, I find it difficult to determine whether it actually lives up to its promises, especially when it comes to preventing hair loss. I have quite a lot of thick hair, if that says anything for this review or for you who are considering whether to buy this serum or not and have a similar hair type as me. I haven't seen any clear or noticeable difference during the usage period, which makes the overall impression somewhat unclear. When it comes to application, there are several positive aspects. The product is very easy to work with, and the pipette makes it smooth to distribute the serum directly onto the scalp in a controlled manner. The consistency itself is pleasant and easy to massage in, and does not leave that “sticky feeling” that can sometimes be experienced when using certain serums and/or oils. Unfortunately, the experience is somewhat diminished by the scent, which I personally find quite strong. For those who are sensitive to scented hair products, this can be a disadvantage. Additionally, I feel that my hair tends to feel a bit greasy after application, which affects the freshness and makes me reluctant to use it during the day. My hair gets quite oily easily, and with this product, it feels like my hair became “greasier” much faster, which I consider a disadvantage. Overall, it is a product that is easy to use but where the results, at least for me, have been hard to see. Maybe a longer usage period is required to notice a clearer effect, but based on my experience, I feel hesitant about whether I would buy it again, especially since the serum is also in the higher price range. Expectations for a product in this price range are high, and at the moment I do not feel that it really meets the expectations.
