Olaplex products often get bad reviews because many find that they make hair even drier and coarser. With "plex" products, it is really important that there is moisture underneath them to seal in, as their purpose is to create a protective film on the hair. If you seal dryness into the hair, the result will be dry. I always use either a spray or a very light hyaluronic serum under this conditioner, and the hair must be damp when applying leave-in conditioners. The products should be allowed to absorb into damp hair for a moment before blow-drying (if using a hairdryer).
