Instead, you will find, for example, glycosphingolipids and glycolipids, which are plant-based lipids that resemble the skin's own ceramides and help to strengthen the skin barrier and retain moisture. So even though they are not called "ceramide NP" or similar, ceramide-like components from plant sources are included – hence the name Phytoceramides. The product is therefore designed to support the skin's moisture balance and barrier function in a similar way to classic ceramides. Hope that helps clarify it a bit!🤍1 likes
