It shaves as close as most on the market, and does it in an easy and safe way. My only wish was/is that it could shave a little closer.

Really light, durable battery. Fits well in the hand and is easy to use. But - it doesn't cut quite as well as the Philips OneBlade. OneBlade cuts the beard much more precisely against the skin. Additionally, this one cuts into the skin when you try to cut as short as possible. For longer beard trimming, this one feels better than the OneBlade. So I recommend the device for shortening/trimming, not really for shaving.

I've been using the BaByliss Beard Trimmer OT996E for a while now and I'm quite satisfied. The battery life is really good, I rarely need to charge it despite weekly use. It feels sturdy, fits well in the hand, and is easy to clean. The length adjustment is precise and smooth. What I don't like is that the distance comb feels a bit weak. If you press too hard, it can be pushed down and scrape the skin, which isn't so pleasant. Otherwise, it cuts evenly and nicely without any issues. I like that it's waterproof and has Japanese steel blades, it feels like high quality. It charges quite quickly and lasts about 40 minutes, which is enough for several trims.
