No difference
Started with 0.5 and feel nothing. My skin hasn't flaked or reacted. A bit strange93 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 3 daysHi Julanar😊 What you describe is unfortunately a common misconception. Just because your skin doesn’t peel or get irritated doesn’t mean the retinol isn’t working. On the contrary – a good retinol should be tolerated by the skin without discomfort, while gradually stimulating cell renewal and improving skin texture over time. So it’s actually a great sign that your skin is thriving with it. Skincare takes time, requires patience and regular use for long-term results. This product from Geek&Gorgeous is a super good start! If you get reactions/sensitivity, you should back off or stop as it shows it’s too much for your skin. Don’t forget sunscreen during the day🌞 Hope this answer can be helpful✨

The Best!
I am convinced that this cosmetic product is one of the best. From my experience working on a horticultural farm, I can confirm that it works reliably. You just need to know how to use it; the skin must be moisturized, healthy, and well-nourished. You should not apply the product on dry skin and avoid exposure to sunlight. It is a great product to use during the autumn-winter period to improve skin condition and prepare it for the first spring sun. I will always gladly recommend this product as a Poznan native and gardener with extensive experience!109 views - The post was made 2 months
Is this cream?
Hi Is this a retinol cream?1748 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 2 monthsHey Jany 💌 This is a retinol product, but it’s not a classic cream. It’s called The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane and comes as a water-free serum in squalane, so it feels more like an oil/serum layer. Have a lovely day ahead🌞1 likes

Switching to The Ordinary
Hi, I have been using Geek and Gorgeous retinal 1% for about a year and have been using their 2% for a few months now. But I don't think I see any difference, so I want to try The Ordinary now. Which retinol should I choose? I have sensitive skin but have never reacted to Geek and Gorgeous. 😊2532 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 2 monthsHey Sofia😊 Since you have been using retinal for a long time without reaction, you can absolutely try The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane cautiously. It can work as the next step, but every formula is unique and requires acclimation. If you want to be extra cautious, there is also 0.2% or Granactive Retinoid 2% which are gentler. Start with a few evenings a week and always use SPF during the day. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice day💫3 likes

Retinol serum around the eyes?
Hi! I have been a regular user of Retinol for several years and use The Ordinary 1% in Squalane 4-5 nights a week. It is the one that works best. One of the areas I definitely want to treat is around the eyes (I am 56 years old and don’t have a lot but some wrinkles and dryness under the eyes) but I read that the serum shouldn’t be used there. Is there any Retinol serum that you ARE allowed to use around the eyes?2061 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 1 monthHi Monika😊 No, we do not recommend using Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion around the eyes. The product contains an active retinoid (A-vitamin derivative) that can be too strong for the thin and sensitive skin in the eye area and may cause irritation, dryness, and redness. It is also not something The Ordinary recommends themselves. For the area around the eyes, it is better to choose a product that is specifically formulated and tested for that sensitive skin. Unfortunately, The Ordinary does not currently have an eye cream with retinoid in their range. However, Revox has an eye gel that you could take a look at instead: lyko.com/sv/revuele/revuele-revox-b77-retinol-eye-gel-anti-wrinkle-concentrate-3 or some of the tips that my colleague Line has listed above ☝🏼 I hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a lovely day💫

Can this be stored in the bathroom cabinet?2699 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 4 monthsHi Eva Margareta 👋😊 Yes, it can stand in the bathroom cabinet, but preferably in a cool and dark place, not directly in sunlight or near a heat source. If your bathroom gets very warm or humid, it might be better to keep it in another room, or maybe in the fridge – but that's not an absolute must 🥰 Take care!

The OrdinaryRetinol 0.5% in Squalane 30 ml
This water-free solution contains 0.5% Retinol, a well-studied ingredient that aims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and textural irregularities. While Retinol has been studied extensively, it can be irritating to the skin for first-time users and requires a build up of skin tolerance. For this reason, we generally recommend using Granactive Retinoid 2% or Granactive Retinoid 5% for first-time users. This formula also offers hydrating benefits due to the presence of Squalane.
The Ordinary’s portfolio of retinoids includes the following formulations:
Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (Moderate Strength, No Irritation)
Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane (High Strength, No to Low Irritation)
Retinol 0.2% in Squalane (Low Strength, Moderate Irritation)
Retinol 0.5% in Squalane (Moderate Strength, High Irritation)
Retinol 1% in Squalane (High Strength, Very High Irritation) Note: When pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended to avoid any skincare products containing retinoids such as formulations with Granactive Retinoid or Retinol.
Apply a small amount to face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water serums but before heavier treatments. Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure. Store in a cool, dry place.
