This magic happens thanks to a unique blend of resin combined with nourishing and moisturizing oils, plus beeswax. Beeswax is a secretion from the "Apis Mellifica," the bee that produces honey. This wax is harvested from honeycombs today just like in the old days, by dipping them in hot water. The wax then floats to the surface and is collected. Beeswax contains small amounts of pollen and, most importantly, Propolis (bee glue). Propolis has antibacterial properties and can even kill or prevent the growth of certain fungi. Bee glue has been attributed with many different benefits, but its most common use is for wound healing.
