Golden Threads
Oribe's annual celebration of craftsmanship and exceptional artistic talent comes to life this year in collaboration with multidisciplinary Finnish artist, Kustaa Saksi. Saksi fabricates designs using geometry, collage, fractals, and symmetry, resulting in a rich visual language.

The Jacquard tapestry titled “Golden Threads” is a woven masterpiece of wool, cotton, mohair, and precious gold leaf threads inspired by the iconic black and cream design of Oribe’s Gold Lust collection and the Oribe Goddess emblem. The emblem’s design, in turn, inspired Saksi's interpretation of Norse mythology, particularly his depiction of the Norse goddess Sif’s golden, flowing hair. Through meticulous technique and vivid storytelling, Oribe celebrates the essence of nature’s beauty and the enduring power of craft.
