    Finest budget mascara

    Such a sick mascara! I'm slowly but surely working my way through all of essence's mascaras, and so far none have been directly bad. But this one is fantastically beautiful on my lashes 😍 I happen to like a little spider leg feel on my lashes, so much volume, I usually use YSL's false lashes mascara or Helena Rubinstein's femme fatale. But this one is a tad prettier. The downsides are that it still tends to leave marks on both lower and upper eyelids (though less than the other waterproof essence mascaras I've had time to test), but I have this problem with almost all mascaras in general. However, when it's time to wash it off, it's kind of cemented on my lashes πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ no matter how much I rub and wash (with removal of course), there's always a little mascara left. But on the other hand, for this price, it performs at the top!

    Amazing lashes but smudges and falls off

    Even though it's waterproof, there was already black under the eyes on the skin after a couple of hours (fallen from the lower lashes). Also, black color started to come from the upper lashes under the eyebrows. And it smudges badly. So it doesn't stay on the lashes and messes up the skin around the eyes. I put two coats on the upper lashes and very lightly on the lower ones. Such a shame because the lashes turned out really amazing.

    Good basic mascara.

    I wanted a cheap one since I don't use waterproof that often. Stays on well all day, despite training and running outside in the wind. Sheds a little bit directly under the eye at the end of the day. Haven't tested it in the rain. I want black and volume, it has length and curls naturally. It meets that pretty well. However, it does require cleansing for waterproof makeup, my regular cleanser doesn't remove it. Affordable.

    Applies nicely and gives a voluminous result, but it flakes a lot. Hard to clean, doesn't come off easily even with oil-based makeup removers.

    It makes my lashes the best!

    Totally insane volume on my lashes! I have long but pretty thin lashes and they are unruly, but this mascara is the only one out of 100 I've tried that holds my lashes up all day! But it can sting since it can start to flake after 7, 8 hours, so if I'm going to be out for a long time, I might take another mascara that lasts longer without stinging and flaking. But this one and the green non-waterproof are my absolute two favorites, but many say it smudges a lot, but I've never experienced that.

    Mascara for stubborn lashes!!

    I've tried a ton of different mascaras, but none of them make my lashes stand up, but this one gives a nice result all day! You only need 2 coats, and the right amount of product comes out with the brush. It's also very easy to remove in the evening, which is a big plus since many waterproof mascaras can be really stubborn! The price is great too! The only downside is that it smudges a little on the eyelids - but I have oily skin, so it’s probably due to that. In summary, it's a clear choice if you want an affordable mascara that gives a nice result all dayπŸ’‹ #lykoreview
