Usage:
INSTRUCTIONS: Your Beconfident® Protect mouthguard is practically ready to use right out of the box. Your body heat molds the guard to your mouth and bite. If necessary, Beconfident® Protect can be adjusted to fit the size of your jaw. Read on for more details. Beconfident® Protect is free from BPA, latex, silicone, and phthalates. CHECK THE FIT: The bite plates on Beconfident® Protect are adjustable in 4 positions. Simply place the mouthguard in your mouth without altering the preset position. The bite plates should rest comfortably against your molars, and the arch should lightly touch your gums. Maintain light contact between your teeth and the bite plate, avoiding biting down on the arch. Your body temperature will naturally shape the mouthguard to your mouth and bite, a unique feature of Beconfident Protect®. ADJUST THE BITE PLATE IF NECESSARY: If the bite plates do not rest against your molars, Beconfident® Protect can be adjusted, forward for smaller mouths or backward for larger ones. Adjust by holding the bite plate and gently moving the arch forward or backward. For easier adjustment, dip the mouthguard in water. Once Beconfident® Protect is set, no further adjustments are needed. USAGE: Before use: For optimal results, make sure the widest end of the bite plate is facing backward. Always check the mouthguard before use to ensure it's intact and no cracks have developed from previous use. For the best fit – insert Beconfident® Protect about 30 minutes before going to bed. Close your lips and relax your jaw. Initial tenderness, headaches, or discomfort in your mouth and jaws is common but temporary. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE: Rinse the guard after use and allow it to dry before placing it in its storage case. Replace the guard if you notice cracks or if the plastic turns yellow. Overactive jaw muscles can lead to wear on the chewing surfaces of teeth, cracks, discomfort, and pain in the jaw joint, as well as headaches. Your mouthguard is designed to create a gap between your rows of teeth, encouraging the jaw muscles to relax. Focus on keeping your lips closed while allowing your jaw to relax. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: • Beconfident® Protect mouthguard is designed to protect your teeth from bruxism. • Not suitable for children under 18. • The mouthguard is not intended as a sports mouthguard. • Do not wear the mouthguard for more than 8 hours a day. • Not recommended for use with braces. • Please read the instructions carefully before use and consult your dentist if unsure. • Improper use may compromise your safety or damage the product. • Do not use the mouthguard if it restricts your breathing, causes pain, falls out, or causes other discomforts. • Always consult your dentist if unsure about your oral health and do not use it if you have loose fillings or cracks in your teeth. • Ensure to replace your Beconfident® Protect if it is damaged or excessively worn.
