If it is unopened and smells/looks normal and has been stored dry and cool, it can often be okay to use, but after 3-4 years there is no guarantee. It can be used together with AHA/BHA on the rest of the face, but avoid applying strong exfoliating acids directly around the eye area to prevent irritating the skin. I find that this cream is quite good and moisturizing. The only thing is that I always get a bit of a stinging sensation in my eyes when I apply it. It doesn't matter how much or how little product I use, I always feel like it glides into my eye?? But I don't get any other reactions or anything like that.
